Bought expensive product to store and access data. Western digital then decide to fix their security flaws by making existing products incompatible with new software. Now I own an expensive brick. Awful company, why ok earth would I trust you not to do this again?! Measly offer of 20% off a replacement product. Don’t go anywhere near them. The products are pretty average too with mostly trouble since owning them.

Bought a NAS which has been a constant pain, never worked properly. So was offered a hard drive by way of apology. After 2 months wait they sent me a drive, broken. I have to pay for return postage or they won't send a replacement. Customer service in greece is a joke. Rude and unhelpful. Buy seagate and avoid this rubbish!

Returned an order, confirmed receipt but following numerous phone calls still no refund. Finally got my refund but took them 2 mths to do this. Wasn’t happy. The sad side is that WD do make good products at a good price but let down badly by poor customer service.

O avuto la SFORTUNA di richiedere assistenza per un Hardisk della WD. Mai vista una assistenza della garanzia cosi fatiscente come quella della Western Digital. Tutto parte il 14 settembre 2021 dove invio tramite UPS un Hardisk di 14 tetra in garanzia, passano i giorni e settimane tutto tace così comincio a fare delle telefonate al centro assistenza per poter capire a che punto e’ il mio RMA all’inizio di dissero che avevano problemi con gli RMA, poi dissero che erano in attesa del modello nel loro magazzino, poi mi dissero che il mio modello era un problema di fuori produzione, poi mi proposero un modello in sostituzione dicendomi se per me era uguale, io pur di venirne a capo dico ok così risolvo il problema, dopo la loro offerta di un modello sostitutivo sono passati 22 giorni senza nessun riscontro di invio da parte loro, o richiamato l’assistenza per capire cosa succede e oggi mi sento dire che c’è un problema di parti elettroniche, vorrei capire la serietà di questa azienda si basa nel prendere in giro i propri clienti…? creando scuse Dai call center…? Spero in un intervento da qualche responsabile della WD che capisca il mio stato di delusione. Resto in attesa di concrete risposte in merito. Grazie

I have two Cloud Devices with Western Digital. The first, and just been notified the older one in now being downgraded because they cannot manage security or be bothered to update the OS so suggest you buy a new one. The second is a relatively new My Cloud 8Tb device. The use of this through Apps and Internet make it totally unsuitable for anything that stores data that is important to you. It connect to windows explorer without the app but the transfer of permissions is variable. DO NOT use WD Cloud products for anything where you value the integrity of data, which to me means Don't use them at all

HDD zur RMA eingeschickt am 09/Jun/2021 Bestätigung eingang durch WD 23/Oct/2021 11/Nov/2021 über 5 Monate vergangen und es ist noch immer nichts weiter passiert.

If I could do 0 stars I would, like many others on here I wish I had looked at this before I placed my order. You would hope that such a big company would be better at customer service. So far I have had to replace a drive that crashed (total lack of communication on how to get it replaces), urgent order never turned up (had to go onto Twitter to get any response) then made a mistake on the replacement order and they won't correct the invoice! It is just not worth buying from these guys!

How I wish I'd see these reviews before buying from the Western Digital store. Similar story to other reviewers - goods not received, WD refusing to process refund claiming they need to 'investigate' first....which has been ongoing for over a month now. No ability to escalate. They don't care that they are in breach of consumer law. Simply awful. Save yourself and avoid at all costs...
