I ordered some bare root plants which did not sprout. I also ordered a cherry pensteman and a purple one. When they bloomed both were purple. I contacted customer service in august. . I was told nothing could be done because it was beyond the 90 day return period. I was very upset and told customer svc that I would think really hard before ordering again. Every other mail order company has a 100 percent satisfaction guarantee and I didn't realize wayside gardens was different. They do have unusual plants which is what attracted me to the website in the first place. If I order again i will be extremely selective in my choices.

Your prices far exceed actual value when compared to other local greenhouses in our area with the exact same plants and trees. Everyone understands that your can not compete with Lowe’s and Home Depot prices . But serious you charged $45 for black elephant ear plant that agreat Neck greenhouse charged $19 for the exact size /varity plant . Your staff is friendly and helpful when available .

some plants I received , the growth was black and slimey in the peanuts. did not recover from the root after cutting as I was told by customer service.Not worth the hassle to continue to contact them. And it has happened again since.

It is hard to give an honest review of living plants purchased, because some of the problems with their performance may not be Wayside's fault. But of the four items ordered, the coreopsis ladybird simply never grew and the buddleia Miss Molly only put up three puny shoots. The globemaster alliums and the hydrangea endless summer both did fairly well. I think it will take another year to really comment on the quality of these plants.
