Most of the plans I ordered died! 1 dogwood made it, 2 died and 3 weigelia died. Bareroot plants are risky to purchase.

The plant (Japanese Snowbell tree) sent was of poor quality and died in two weeks. After contacting customer service, the company issued a store credit (not a refund) for less than the amount that was paid (excluding . shipping charges).

don't remember. quite expensive though W. .

Never could get a response to my inquiries about the plants: poor communications. Was promised return calls, but never received any. Also, some plants were in poor health and have not survived. You offer no significant guarantee nor do you provide support after purchase.

plants always have arrived in good shape except for the dawn redwood, the very tip of the tree was cut off, supposedly so it wont get broke in transit, I have a issue with this, that was the leader for a pine tree that should get 50-75 feet tall, don't want problems with a offset top of a tree - taking a chance one of the branches become the leader trunk of the tree, then what do I do if a leader starts then the cut tip sprouts. how much do I loose ground waiting for the tree to re group? it would have been better to anchor the root ball better and use a longer box, don't you think? instead of cutting the tree to fit!

My purchases from Wayside Gardens have about a 50% - 60% survival rate. Since most of my purchases are fall plantings such as bulbs, it is 5-6 months before I am aware that they are dead or alive. The tulips have done well, but others such as peonies and asian lilies have never even sprouted. Other items such as some ornamental grasses died within 2 weeks of planting. I've had better luck with larger plants purchased from Lowe's that were locally grown.

Mixed results. Several good very small shrubs, but several perennials did not survive.

Placed an order for a plant that I needed to finish a design in on of our flower beds and it happened to be considerably marked down at the end of the growing season. I was never sent a notification but called to check on my order after a few weeks without a shipping update. I was told they didn't have enough stock to fill my order. However, their website showed more than a hundred of the exact same plant available to order at FULL price. I was told the plants were pre-orders for the upcoming season. When asked why they couldn't honor my purchase I was told there was no way they could do that because or their system. I've worked in Customer Service for an online retailer before and it's very easy to have a supervisor adjust the price on an item. It was really disappointing to be treated with such disregard as a long time customer. I had another issue with a previous order that I had emailed about months before and never received a response. I had just let that go but after this I decided to push the issue. I was told to email my info directly to the CS agent and he would investigate the issue and get back with me. After several more weeks of waiting and emailing for an update with no response I called CS and requested a supervisor. After explaining the who story in full she apologized and corrected my order issue. They still did nothing about the order that wasn't fulfilled. It honestly shouldn't take so much effort from the customer for a company to honor the terms of a sale. Left a bad taste in my mouth! Just seemed odd that I purchased a plant that was heavily marked down and they couldn't fulfill that order but within a couple weeks they had over a hundred plants full price? Would've been ok if they'd just offered to fill my order later on due to unexpected stock issues. Honestly, it looks pretty irresponsible to take orders for inventory you don't have. At the least, they should've emailed me to say they were screwing me out of the deal. Instead it just felt like a big F*** you.
