Some of the plants were small and spindly, and failed to survive. Too many e-mails.

My first order I received a plant that was not ordered instead of the one I did. When I called, the correct replacement plant was received but in poor condition and did not survive. At this point, I was issued credit and a hole in my garden remained for the graduation party. In the fall I used the credit and purchased 3 more plants. One was in fair condition an I managed to get some new growth. When planting, one of the plants had barely any root system to it. We will see if it survives the winter.

Almost half of the hibiscus plants I purchased were killed by the hot blistering sun that we had this summer even though they were watered daily. I should have started them earlier before the sun got so hot.

Average minus plants. Good service. Average plus shipping protection for plants.

I've been buying from you all since the mid-80's. I've spent a lot of $ thru the years with you all, planting Wayside items at 4 diff. addresses since the '80s. In the last few years you've changed your refund policy. I don't like your 90 day guarantee policy and think it's unfair. I think many of your products are over-priced and am starting to buy items around here locally to save $. But on the other hand, I have some gorgeous specimens of flowering plants, bushes and trees I can't get anywhere else, so I give you 5 stars for that.

The products are mostly good but expensive. When they made a shipping error and failed to send me a plant that was on sale, they tried to charge me the full cost to replace it because "it was no longer on sale" despite it being their error that I didn't receive it during the sale period. I found this aggravating and unacceptable. Costumer service in general wasn't the best.

Did not order much this year due to circumstances here but what I did order was just OKAY. Three of the plants arrived DEAD . were replaced and one of those died !

I like exotic plants and shrubs but in recent years that part of the catalog has diminished in favor of plants that are more common. Maybe it is good for their overall sales but I have had to move on to other on-line nurseries to find those gems of plants that Wayside used to carry.
