REcieved 4 clematis vines looking spindly. 2 plants demonstrated no growth. i called apparently 2 weeks to late to discuss failure to thrive. ( I have many other clematis and have grown them for years. Was told the company would do nothing. gty is 90 days. thats not even enough time to evaluate something that has to establish a root system before demonstrating top growth. lost my business. Replaced with plants from another company with superior product and warranty.

Terrible service and arrogant about it. My experience has been that other companies, and indeed other nurseries, who operate on a deferred shipment basis, have the courtesy to send you an email alerting you to the shipment and proposing a shipping date. That way, if you are to be away from home you can arrange for a specific shipping date so your perishables dont die on the porch. Waysides customer rep simply said -- Too bad, you were told what the shipping window would be -- as if that actually was an answer. From now on I will deal with other nurseries.

First problem is communication. There is none. Only a threat to contact the Better Business Bureau got a response. I only received a partial shipment of my order. Finding the rest of the order too weeks because their online information is incorrect and misleading. I finally received a refund after my BBB threat. Sadly the quality of the products I received were disappointing. After seeing the plants, size and health state, I was sad to find much healthier and larger of the same plants available at my local Walmart for far less cost. I will never ever purchase from them again.

poor quality stock, undersized for the price. found the exact same plants in a local "big box" hardware store for much less money; you are not the company you were 20 years ago. I will not be back.

I received plants whose roots had not grown beyond the seed cube inside the pot. Nevertheless I did everything possible to make them succeed. They did not. When I emailed to ask for a refund I was told Waysides guarantee for perennials is only good for 90 days (though every other company I have ordered from offers 12 months) and since I was a few days beyond that they could do nothing just because the plants "had not thrived". I wrote another email saying I was disappointed in their cavalier attitude toward customer service. They did not bother to answer. I will NEVER order from Wayside again and I suggest you DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY either. There are many reputable nurseries who stand behind their products and offer excellent customer service.

I've loved and shopped at Wayside Gardens for years, typically spending several thousands of dollars on gardening each year. In September, I got a large shipment of plants which were 7/8ths dead or dying so I tried for several days to see if TLC and tending would revive them. After a week, no luck so I wrote customer service, and got a message that things were so crazy it might take time to get back to me. When someone finally did, I was asked to take photos of the dead materials - 10 days after I had written! before a refund would be even considered!! I wrote back showing how great I customer I am (perhaps now WAS) and still haven't heard back. THAT IS HORRIBLE TREATMENT OF GREAT CUSTOMER AND SHOWS WHAT THEIR GUARANTEE IS WORTH (NOT MUCH)

I called immediately to say many lilies were pale and scrawny was told to wait -Followed all instructions -kept plants in shade to acclimate. Planted three in each pot. Three in separate pots died. When I called about it I was very rudely treated by a young lady who could have cared less-not a good representative of your firm.. I was told my first call would be kept and I should call back but was treated very badly. Service is as important as product-don't you think? I was very disappointed.

my last , about a year ago...6 plants...3 were dead immediately (black and too wet).....2 later died. asked for a refund....and nothing. You;ll notice that was my last order.
