I feel completely CHEATED
I feel completely cheated after purchasing this after-market warranty. The first mechanic I took my car too would not accept my car under Warranty Direct because they "have too much trouble getting them to pay out" and they were right! My car was finally accepted at a local Subaru dealership and they found three items that needed repair. The most important repair needed was an oil pump which the warranty should have covered. Warranty Direct would not pay any of the repair costs and the dealership mechanic told me they have a million clever excuses to get around paying these claims. My advise, is save your money for the full cost of repairs instead of handing it to this company.

The oil pump is a covered component, however the pump is leaking from the seal which will need a reseal. The pump does not need to be replaced, it has not failed. The seal is leaking and the seal is not covered. Your Standard Advantage VSC covers mechanical failure but not normal wear and tear. Page 3 of your contract explicitly states: SEALS AND GASKETS: Seals and gaskets related to the covered parts listed above are covered, but only when required as a part of the authorized repair or replacement of those covered parts. Leaking and/or failed seals and gaskets by themselves are not covered parts.
