Wanderful Holidays went above and beyond our expectations on our recent trip to Japan. We arrived at the airport in Tokyo and a driver was waiting to drive us to the hotel. the transfers were all in beautiful cars. Each night we would get the itinerary for the next day with pick up times and schedule. They took us to places we would never have known about on our own, We felt like VIP's The hotels they chose were all excellent with king size beds, which is unusual for Japan. The tour guides aimed to please and covered so much ground each day and made sure we were happy every step of the way. Any questions we had were quickly replied to by Zufi. I would not hesitate to use Wanderful Holidays again on a future vacation.

In May 2026 my sis and I embarked on a 12-day train tour of Switzerland offered by Wanderful Holidays that included overnights in Zurich, Lucerne, Lugano, St. Moritz, Zermatt, Montreux and Interlaken. Initially, we thought we’d signed up for a small group tour of 2-10 people, but in actuality it was an independent tour with daily text support from the Wanderful team via WhatsApp. Wanderful coordinated the hotel and train/boat/coach arrangements (which included the Burnina Express, Gotthard Panorama Express and the Glacier Express) and included two all-day tours (Zurich and Jungfraujoch), but otherwise we were on our own. Our 14-day Swiss Travel Pass (included) allowed us free transport on most trains, buses and trams, plus hefty discounts on some excursions such as the Gornergrat Railway in Zermatt and the Chillon Castle in Montreux, although we only discovered this via online blogs since Wanderful appeared not to know this when I asked them about it. The tour description also alluded to the inclusion of train/hotel transfers, but when we reached out to confirm this ahead of the trip we were informed that most transfers were not included. After calling out the misleading/confusing transfer descriptions in the tour description, they offered us a package with all transfers included for an additional $129 per person. The transfers made a significant difference in making our trip stress-free. We also downloaded the Swiss SBB app, entered all our train trips, and the app let us know what platform we would depart/arrive on, the minutes between train transfers, and if there were any delays or issues. We highly recommend the app for anyone traveling by train in Switzerland; the trains were very easy to navigate. With the exception of the Zurich hotel, which was not in a walkable neighborhood (and 20-min by tram to Old Town), all the hotel properties were lovely, walkable, and each upgraded us to a balcony view of mountains or lake (or both). A good breakfast buffet was included at each property, and we took advantage of the neighborhood food co-ops to grab snacks and ready-made sandwiches/salads to keep our food costs down. The train/hotel transfers were mostly seamless, except for our Zurich arrival when we couldn’t find our driver. However, if we had a chance for a do-over, we would’ve opted for fewer cities so that we could have spent more time exploring. The Wanderful Holidays team was exceptional (Rose Amanda, Wendy, Sarah). They kept us up-to-date constantly about driver pickups, train transfers, walking directions, and always provided a local “emergency” phone number in the event of any issues. We can’t say enough good things about the team. Our only constructive criticism would be for Wanderful to revisit how they market the tour, and to be in touch with clients in advance with suggestions about air travel options since we didn’t initially realize we’d be traveling by train 2.5 hours to return to Zurich on the final day. Because of the unclear marketing and the lack of early communication for trip planning, we are giving Wanderful 4 stars vs 5 for this trip.

We enjoyed our recent tour with Wanderful Holidays, The excursions were great and very enjoyable. Our private transfers were vey helpful. All of our hotels were top notch. It was a great vacation.

The tours were excellent, and the guides explained everything clearly and professionally. The company was outstanding as well — they always responded promptly to our questions and were very organized. If you happened to get lost on the way to the meeting point, they were quick to assist and make sure you arrived without any issues. The only downside was that I expected to stay with the same group throughout the entire trip and to be picked up from the hotel each day before heading to the tours. If you’re traveling with children, this setup may not be very convenient unless you arrange everything in advance and are willing to pay an additional fee. However, if you’re traveling alone or with a group of adults and enjoy walking and exploring beyond the scheduled tour, this arrangement works well. They also provide free time if you’d like to visit places on your own, which offers flexibility and independence.

I loved the itenery and the low cost. It was very well planned to be able to do so much within the time frame. The hotels were nice with the exception of one whose location was not ideal. All of the guides were good, but several were exceptional. When there were glitches, the Wanderful staff dealt with the issue promptly and fairly.

Our group had a fabulous trip to Chile, Argentina and Brazil, in large part due to Wanderful’s coordination behind the scenes. A special shoutout to Rose Amanda, who provided exceptional service along our journey. It was especially helpful to get daily updates on transfer times, tours, etc. The team including Rose was extremely responsive and made us feel very taken care of (including helping us coordinate a refund for a mixup at one of our hotels and checking us in for our flights so all we had to do was be ready for our transfer). Our local guides and transfer partners were also exceptional - especially our city guide, Francisco, and driver, Claudio, both in Punta Arenas, and our city guide Maite in Santiago. My only critique is the communication from Wanderful ahead of our trip. It felt like once we’d made our payments, it was much harder to get ahold of the team. In the weeks leading up to our trip, it wasn’t clear when hotel/transfer info would be received (important to our group since we were traveling over the holidays and needed to make reservations for several meals ahead of time) and we had to ask repeatedly about things like baggage allowances. It also would have been helpful to have more guidance about tipping expectations in each country (we winged it based on Google research). If Wanderful had set our expectations upfront that most of this info would not be available until just a week or two ahead of our trip, that would have helped us a lot. Overall, though, we had a fantastic trip and so appreciate the work that the Wanderful team did to make sure we had a fabulous experience on the ground. Thank you for an amazing trip!
