Great guides, clunky experience flow, too many guests
Our guide for this tour was incredible, a longtime employee of the Vatican who was so intelligent, friendly and knowledgeable about the Vatican and Sistine Chapel. Unfortunately, the group size felt a little too large for it to feel like a truly intimate, exclusive experience. I would strongly encourage Walks of Italy to limit the number of people who join. It was difficult to hear the guides at times with two groups talking over each other. Everyone gets a chance to use a key to open a space in the Vatican which in theory is nice, but when there are 40 people, there is a lot of waiting around and of course everyone going it wants their photo and video taken in the action. I'd so much prefer less focus on key opening, and more focus on the artwork and history.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you found your guide so knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging—it’s always wonderful when our guests connect with our team. We also appreciate your constructive comments regarding group size and the experience with the key ceremony. This tour is known as the “Key Master” experience, and the opportunity for each guest to participate in is something many people specifically request and consider a highlight of the tour. That said, we understand that with groups, it can take time and sometimes feel less intimate, and we will continue to explore ways to balance this unique chance with a more focused experience on the artwork and history. Thank you again for your insights, and we hope to welcome you on another tour in the future. Kind Regards Walks and Devour Feedback Team
