Customer service is poorly organized. They use texting is their main way to communicate and then one day I received for different text chats. Their app is not user-friendly. You cannot manage your recurring schedule. You can only manage one walk at a time after a recurring schedule is set up. I needed service but poorly executed.

No-Show Walkers, Bad App Design
UPDATE:
We've recently had multiple instances where the walker did not appear for our walk and did not contact us. Instead of contacting us in advance, the application automatically rescheduled us with a new walker at a later time (i.e. two hours later). We didn't have a chance to approve the walker or speak with them, and no one from Wag ever reached out to us. Each time I spent multiple hours getting customer service to respond and update me.
During one call, an employee admitted that Wag invites this problem: there is no penalty to a walker for a no-show (not even a dock to the star-rating system). Prolific walkers just overschedule themselves and don't show up. So be very wary of new walkers that have 600+ walks.
We've quit the application and are moving to Rover full-time. That application allows us to communicate directly with walkers and schedule the ones we want (rather than using a bullpen-like system Wag favors).
In short, Wag has multiple fundamental problems in its actual business plan:
-- First, it matches walkers and clients the same way a rideshare application does. That increases efficiency but not doesn't allow trust to build between walkers and clients (critical, in my mind). Rover, in contrast, takes an approach more like AirBNB, where there is the opportunity for communication between the parties.
-- Second, the lack of penalty to no-show walkers invites moral hazard.

Great service, little buggy app.
We use Wag multiple times per week to schedule a dog walker. Wag does a great job of matching us with walkers, who are extremely professional and communicative with us.
At times the company rolls out updates that are a little buggy. For example, we try to use the recurring booking feature (book a person for a certain date and time each week), but you cannot tailor that feature for weeks you're out of town and don't need a walker. Similarly, if Wag is having trouble finding you a walker, you cannot easily edit the time to see if there's more availability.
In sum, I think there's are better walking apps on the market (e.g., Rover), but Wag is price-competitive and has a team of great walkers.

Do not use wag
I would give this no stars if I could. Nothing but issues since day one. The app is terrible. They over charge on visits all the time. Some of the walkers are great but others are rude and I even had one leave my door unlocked and barely closed. And I live in the city with my front door right on the side walk. It was a complete mess and after only a month I no longer use wag!

TERRIBLE AND INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR BY…
TERRIBLE AND INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR BY WALKER
I have used wag several times without incident. However, this most recent time, I watched on my nest security camera the walker come into my home and go through all my cabinets and drawers. I'm not sure what he was looking for. He did not appear to take anything but he was off view of the camera for some time so I can't be sure. I was horrified and felt very unsafe. I immediately called customer service and after being transferred several times was told there was no one currently working from their "resolutions" team who could help me with my incident. All they could do was refund me for the walk and block the walker from walking my dog again - seems pretty small consequence for a serious incident.

Terrible service that left my dog unwalked for 12 h
Terrible customer service and not enough walkers. Twice they just didn’t show up to walk my dog, didn’t call but sent some text message that I didn’t see until later that no walker ended up being available. When I tried to talk to customer service spent 45 min on the phone with someone offshore that couldn’t help. Really unhappy with service

Called customer service and texted...no response!!!!!! I was put in hold 2 times for iver 30 min and even did the pressnote2 to return call, but no call returned!!!! I texted...no return text!!!!!I'm too afraid to leave my dogs for 4 days, is there no 24 hour customer service???? Why not return my call after 3 attempts?????? I'm livid and they don't care!

KEEP AWAY
My fiancé and i downloaded the wag app to get a dog walker for our new puppy. from the getgo, it was bad and turned traumatically bad. first of all, we tried to schedule a meet and greet. apparently you can't do so without a credit card. That right there was a red flag.. from there we picked a 7:00pm meet and greet. We were not allowed to pick our walker. a walker was just given to us. another red flag. From there my fiancé got 2 diff text messages from wag. He specified that we needed a walker at 12:00 in the afternoon while we were at work. We asked if someone was going to come that night as we had scheduled a meet and greet and they said "we don't do that." what do you mean you dont' do that? when would you meet the dog? they said 10 minutes before the walk. UNREAL. we said forget it. we called into customer service and told them to cancel everything and how disappointed we were. customer service rep said everything was cancelled. THE NEXT NIGHT, AT 12:00AM at night, a walker BARGES into our house. we woke up form a dead sleep so incredibly scared that someone was in our house. As i heard someone talking. the lady responds, hi im here to walk you dog. IS THIS A JOKE? ARE WE BEING PUNKED? first of all. WHO ORDERS A DOG WALKER TO WALK THEIR DOG AT 12 AT NIGHT. SECOND OF ALL, EVERY LIGHT WAS OFF. SHE "LET HERSELF IN". YOU BROKE INTO MY HOUSE TO WALK MY DOG? IS THIS A JOKE? I HAVE NO WORDS. YOU ARE DISGRACE TO HUMAN BEINGS. STAY AWAY.

I used to be reliant on Wag
I used to be reliant on Wag! because my dog suffers from epilepsy and needs to be administered medication in the middle of my work day. After several times, they started proving to be unreliable. Walkers would cancel last minute, and customer service was not helpful by replacing them. This obviously caused an issue for me because our dog's health relies on this service.
We had this particular issue of walkers cancelling last minute.. a total of SIX times.. in THREE weeks. Our dog is crated while we are away, so if a seizure was to occur, it is extremely dangerous - however, we couldnt keep him un-crated (ever since he was diagnosed, he began to eat random things and jump on top of tables).
Aside from this huge problem, I tried to give them more chances due to a lack of options.
Now.. we have been having the issue of the walker not even administering his medication though it is clearly stated in the instructions. I have even called customer service to have them place a note on our account and to inform potential walkers that our dog requires special care.
If you care about your animals enough to get a walker, look elsewhere. This service is unreliable, and clearly disorganized. I have given them multiple chances to redeem themselves; however, I can no longer deal with the inconsistencies.. please read all of the negative reviews associated with Wag! .. they are there for a reason, and there has to be better options out there.
