My wife worked for WAG for several months and was treated extremely poorly. Just as another reviewer here wrote, my wife's account was deactivated because she had a rating of 4.74. And why? That's a great question because WAG doesn't even make it possible to know which owners give poor reviews and gives no weight to the information walkers try to provide about owners who are abusive towards their animals or abusive towards the walkers. They have sent several messages over the past two months saying payment for services is delayed, etc. Seriously? This pathetic excuse for a company is a joke.

What an awful experience. I was a Wag walker and let me tell you that they do not treat or communicate with us (me) very well. First, it took them over a month to activate my account. The app itself is not good at all - you constantly need to refresh to see available walks. Once a reported an owner of the dog for reasons I dont want to disclouse here, the owner gave me a 1 star and Wag kept sending me emails that my account would get deactivated. Please consider another serious company.

I was deactivated by Wag! today by dropping below their 4.75 star rating policy that was implemented Oct 15, 2019. Uber doesn't have that high of a star rating, theirs is 4.5. I was 4.72 on Wag! and about 15 pet owners never rated me. Every 5 star rating counts if you pet parents want to keep your preferred dog walker on the app. I really enjoyed my time on Wag!. I'm really sad that it had to end this way so abruptly. Wag good luck in your sale to Petco, I know this why you are in a push for the high ratings so that you can find a buyer. Good luck with that. You're not going to have enough walkers since you kicked them off the app. The pet parents will get frustrated because there won't be any walkers available, because what you have left are all booked. Alot of Wag customers like how wag is, not sure they're gonna want a big chain owning Wag!. Good luck with it all.

The only thing about Wag! that I loved is spending time with dogs. The customer service people SUCK and are 100% worthless people. 100%. Pathetic. I walked a dog who had SERIOUS issues.. and they continued to let people walk this dog. Well when I was walking this dog, it ran after a kid trying to attack him. When the dog ran after the kid, the leash was wrapped around my hand and wrist.. this dog legit DRAGGED me through the grass and concrete, almost breaking my hand and dislocating my shoulder. Well in the process of almost breaking my wrist and the searing pain, the leash slipped out of my hands and the dog got off leash. I reported this to wag in hopes that they will remove this owner from wag until they can get the proper training for the dog. WELL wag suspended my account to “investigate” and during the investigation they told me I’d have my account back in a week because they know I did nothing wrong. Well a week later they deactivated my account permanently because I “violated community standards by having a dog off leash.” They are the dumbest people I know and they only care about themselves. They are also liars. I get hurt and had to go to the hospital AND they deactivated me for having the dog off leash. I have proof of everything too. Do not work for them. Do not work for them. They cannot comment or reply to this review and say this and that when I have proof of everything and I’ll be glad to share it on every social media platform if they want to continue to spread lies and only care about themselves and money.

VERY UNRELIABLE service. Walkers in my area continuously cancel on short notice, only to be scheduled with another walker who then cancels as well. Customer service is little help and only offers $5 off a walk when this inconvenience continues to occur and complaints continue to have to be made. I was contacted by a customer support representative who asked me to give wag another chance and apologized for the repetitive issues with canceling. I decided to give it one more chance and my walk scheduled for last night never showed, never canceled, never notified me of any changes, and the app didn’t even keep record of this. It was as if the walk was never scheduled, but I had proof of the walk being confirmed in my text messages. I then have to reach out to them to point out this problem rather than them notifying me and fixing it. It is extremely unreliable and unacceptable to not even be notified of a walk being canceled so that I could make other arrangements for my dog. He was then never taken out and I didn’t even know because Wag did not notify me. It wasn’t until this issue, after many many others in the past that they offered me a free walk. SO UNRELIABLE

I worked for Wag as a dog Walker. I'm a single mom it was flexible for me so I can be there for my teen daughters and 5 year old son instead of being at 9 to 5 job. I love all animals I enjoyed meeting new doggies and its great exercise. I have great reviews ratings. One day I had 14 walks scheduled and it all got canceled by 3 different owners. I called in 3 representatives told me my account was fine. Still no email and I wasnt getting any walk requests. Then I called again and a team member called me saying someone reported me for health risk to pups. She only wanted my statement I said no. I would never put any dogs in danger or health risk. She didnt give me any details or anything. Still no email or phone call if I'm back on wag working. I'm very very upset. Not happy about this company. I wouldnt recommend this company at all. Clients complained to me that they cant use me only to walk only if they call in. They can put me as preferred Walker but its first come first serve.

The US is full of a lot of prejudice & unfair things I applied for wag looking to start walking and grooming dogs due to the fact that I love them ! Unfortunately once I’ve submitted a background check I’ve waited more than 4 weeks once they reached out to me they told me that my form of ID has to be re-submitted I did just that. then when I wait a couple of days for the background check response they told me that the form of ID which was a passport of mines has to be from the US i instantly regret not submitting a state ID first instead of the passport but when I put it all together I realize that ... first the site doesn’t clearly tell you that the 25$ fee is for the back ground check is supposedly for the “T-shirt “ and application fee “ lies that 25$ is for the background check and it’s not guaranteed if you get chosen and you also have to be a citizen of the US which they also don’t state go to another dog site that’s more detailed and explainable wag ain’t crap !!! And they take your money “so please if you’re not a citizen but you are naturalized don’t apply to this company the United crap of nations is full of money hungry people that don’t care to fxxck you over I dint know that you have to be a citizen of the US to walk dogs , I pray for America better yet the laws and government

Where do I begin? This company is borderline criminal. They take your information, aggregate the data to add other random profiles to yours, confusing the information, violating your privacy and ultimately cheating you out of money for canceled services and stolen items from our home. Go with trusted, reputable boarding services and walkers. Your pets are worth it!
