The service started out great but the past four walks I have requested have been accepted then canceled last minute leaving my pup high and dry. Twice I had to leave work unexpectedly to drive home, walk my own dog, and then drive back to work, which takes way longer than my hour long lunch break. Just yesterday I was four hours away from my home and they cancelled the walk with no notice. This was the final straw. They do not care about your pets and they will cancel your walks without any notice, leaving you to figure out your next best solution. After a lengthy phone call with customer service they also admitted to me that they did not have enough walkers in my area to cover all walks. If they don’t have the coverage then they need to stop offering a service that they can not provide

Wag is known to screw over Walkers! Ive been a walker with Wag for 7 months or so and ive walked well over 500 dogs and was given 5 stars. Everything was great and I even commended how good wag customer service. And then one day they stabbed me in the back with no regard for me, someone who walked many dogs in NYC and did a great service for wag the company, dog owners, and dogs. I chose to walk this one dog named Cooper, I looked at the notes and I saw many other walkers complain that the dog tries to escape from the leash by sneaking his head through it. With this in mind I held on tightly but the dog kept pulling and he slipped out of the leash! Luckily he came back to me 5 seconds later and I put the leash back on. I told the owner this and said I am going to return your dog because his leash is too loose for him and I dont want him to escape again. Somehow how the owner didn't know and said shes never had a problem like this before. I sent her the screenshot of atleast 4 other walkers complaining on the notes that dog tries to sneak out of the leash. Why didn't wag inform her of this?! I gave the dog back and she wanted part of her money back from Wag since I had to end the walk early. I told her no problem I will contact Wag to get you a partial refund. Next thing I know the suspend my account and a week later deactivate it! The customer service team all of a sudden was unresponsive, unhelpful, and uncaring! I tried to appeal but they still upheld that I would be forever deactivated. How was scenario my fault? I tried to help!

As a dog lover and experienced walker, I urge all clients to beware of the many risks you take when requesting walks through Wag! They hire just about anyone and no experience is necessary. Just google wag deaths and walker mishaps that made the news in the past year alone. I was ashamed to be part of a company that makes false claims about hiring trusted and vetted walkers. I have heard horror stories from regular clients that have left the platform about walkers snooping through their house, using harnesses and other equipment improperly, which could’ve led to disaster. Most experienced walkers like myself often leave the app soon after, the ones that stay are usually walkers that are desperate for cash with no real experience with dogs or walking them. Find a private walker that you can meet and feel comfortable with walking your dog who has real experience. Don’t put your dog and home in jeopardy, if something happens, Wag will not care or bother responding to you.

Do not walk for wag! They are very unfair and very inconsiderate. The app is horrible and so is the support service.

Far too many dog deaths and thefts. Unreliable. Never let a total stranger walk your dog and into your home.

They charge you to be able to apply. If you're young, have no income or need money fast, dont get excited, they ask you for your money first. They waste an hour of your time getting you to fill out an application, adding references and taking an ACTUAL 18 QUESTION TEST ABOUT collars and doggy behavior before they tell you to pay them 25 bucks before you can be considered. MAJOR WASTE OF MY TIME, EFFORT, and RESOURCES. This is a cash grabbing money hungry greedy company who will take your kids tips. So I will get my own business. How hard is it to put an add on Facebook marketplace that reaches your entire city with a click of a button, so be smart... dont waste everything I just said you will
