My visits were absolutely horrible, but I did not feel comfortable leaving reviews accurately on the app while I was out of town and a psychopath had access to my home for fear of what she may do to my pets or home. The lady took away all of my cats food and water, did “extra” work like randomly mopping my floor and doing laundry then DEMANDED extra money for the unauthorized work. She did not only access my home during the scheduled 20 minutes each day. Upon review of my cameras, she stayed for HOURS each day hanging out, went in unauthorized rooms and even returned after 1AM each night. The app gives no easy way to report an incident, so I ended up just blocking the walker, changing my door code when I had service as it’s electronic, and had a friend go over a check on everything. When she arrived, ALL of the windows of my house were open and unsecured, all 4 extra bowls of water had been dumped out, their automatic feeder was missing, among other things. It was absolutely horrible. I hired this service so I could be stress free on a cruise with little phone service, but I found myself extremely anxious about it the entire time.

Horrible app, was never able to reach anyone in customer service. My walker failed to show and they never sent a replacement. My walker quit after I gave her a bad review for not walking my dog claiming someone else was already walking her when I was at home with my dog the whole time. Wag never replaced her. Don't use Wag.

The walker ignored my verbal instructions when I handed him the leash and the details in the app. He literally walked my dog until he collapsed into heatstroke and my dog DIED.

The dog walker took my dog on an hour long walk, On burning hot asphalt I noticed that she was limping after and turns out she had third-degree burns on all four paws. I had to take her to the vet she had a fever and infection and needed a shot and antibiotics for 10 days and painkillers I had to carry her outside and she couldn’t walk. They never offered reimbursement for the vet visit nor any kind of reimbursement for anything. Not even an apology . I will never use Wag! again. They have not taken any liability or responsibility for anything that happened and blamed it on me that I didn’t tell the walker not to walk around hot asphalt as if that is not some thing that is common sense and perhaps should at the bare minimum be included in their code of ethics. Do they not have liability insurance, nope. Emailed legal no response. They take no responsibility for anything that happens to your animals they don’t care about the animals all they care about is their pockets 10 out of 10 do not recommend if you want to keep your animals safe. Also a friend of mine told me that they lost their dog and won’t take any responsibility for it. Rover has much better policies moving over there. Very Disappointing Wag!

Booked an overnight stay, which was promptly accepted. Messaged the caregiver to try to coordinate a visit prior since one dog is recovering from back surgery and needed extra help. The intent was to hive the caregiver a chance to back out if it was too much. Caregiver agreed, and we scheduled a Friday meet time. 30 minutes past that time, I call her and she says she “totally forgot, I’ll call Saturday to reschedule” No call on Saturday, so Saturday I messaged about rescheduling, and got an immediate response that she was going out town Sunday afternoon but could do the morning. I promptly responded that that would work. After several hours of no confirmation, we decided that we couldn’t trust that this person would actually show up to care for our dogs. We canceled and ate the $165 cancellation fee. TLDR I’m out $165 for nothing (except for three days of frustration and worry), and the caregiver and Wag get rewarded for providing nothing of value. Company is a scam that only benefits the company and their contractors, not customers.

I have been an employee for WAG for over 3 years and they recently started taking away my jobs while I’m already heading to the location. As a Walker we are lucky to break even. This company will go to ruins where it belongs.

Absolutely horrible company. I scheduled a walk, which was confirmed. I tried to reach the walker the day before and the day of the walk, with no response. The number given was not answered, and the chat feature wasn't available. The app would constantly crash. I never reached the walker and SHE NEVER SHOWED UP. Wag tried to charge me for the walk as well as a cancel fee! I was able to reverse the charge, but the rude customer service person who answered the email said "she was doing me a favor by doing so." What the heck? There is also no number to call for support. I have been trying to delete my account for a week but I keep getting circular answers where none of the instructions work. I think I'm stuck with blocking any false charges that may come through and having all my information kept in their database, because the service is beyond unhelpful and completely impossible to reach. Terrible, terrible service!! Do not use them!!!! Update: reply from Wag! was to the same unresponsive and unhelpful customer service line I had to deal with before. STAY AWAY!

The wag app is incompetent. I’ve had several issues filling in my profile information. Instead of being useful, the app continues to send email codes and automatically fill in the wrong address information. When the app struggles with basic usage, that’s a sign of what’s to come. Don’t waste your time.
