I love the concept of Wag and how convenient it is, but I unfortunately had a bad experience so hopefully they have room to improve. My bad experience went like this: I booked a walk for my dog a week in advance so that I could make sure my pup got the necessary potty breaks it needed while I was out of town that day. Well on the day of the walk I wasn't getting any notifications about the walk starting or if the walker was on the way or anything so I reached out to Wag and they said that unfortunately my walker had an emergency and couldn't do the walk anymore but not to worry, they were working on getting another walker to cover it... Long story short, 2.5 hours after my scheduled walk time, my dog finally got to go outside...

As a Customer and also as a walker(independent contractor) I think it is a great the idea of the business. It is Dog walker business works like Lyft and Uber. They takes on-demand walker requests. Sounds very convenient. However, when it comes to customer service and employee support, they are very terrible. I always have some frustration after ask questions. (They also seems to be confused, too. They are not communicate each other. What is wrong with them? They have so many departments? I have no idea.) The app or the system needs lots of improvement. There are some glitches all the time. I realized that they never sorry for their mistakes even when they know it was their error.

My dog loves the service, she gets very excited but you'd have to be rich to use it everyday.

Love the dog walkers. Very nice & Polite walkers. Customer service is not that great. I left my computer on and my son accidentally booked an appointment by just clicking one button caught it 2 seconds later and the website does not allow you to immediately cancel so I called and of course they don't answer and want you to leave a message which i did and i also text them. They replied that i had to pay a $10 cancel fee or reschedule. They should give customers a 5 minute window cancellation. Also on their website it does not mention anywhere of this cancel fee. I told them I only used them once and I am new to Wag and they did not care to give me a courtesy. So I will not be using them again for this reason. This is how you treat new customers then I will take my business elsewhere. Other than this I really liked them....Too bad !!

Walking the dogs is the best part. Great part time work if only you could book the walks. Very difficult to book walks. Even if you find them right away. Not enough requests in Austin area and clients can choose a walker that they have used previously. If there were more requests for walks this would not be an issue. There is very little support. The day I had an issue WAG had changed their phone number yet they hadn't alerted walkers on the app. Company will string you along without letting you know that you have to pay for background check. They should have a list of everything you will need to pay for before you go through the process. The best part is meeting and walking the dogs ,if you can actually book one.
