I visited the app site to see If they could help me with dog care. Decided they could not and DID NOT schedule any service. BUT the APP stole my money from any way. I finally called support and cancelled service; i cancelled service on the app site and the web site, BUT they are still taking money from my debit card. What Can I Do TO Stop This..

My child graduated college on May 12th with a dog sitter scheduled for May 13th -15th to fly home to celebrate not only graduation but also Mother’s Day. Drop off time was 6 am to 9 am. Shortly before he was to leave to drop off the dogs and head to the airport - after the drop off window had started - the service was inexplicably canceled. No explanation was given and due to the short notice no other sitter could be found. My child not only lost $400 on plane tickets and wasted a vacation day from work, he also missed out on celebrating a once in a lifetime achievement with family and friends not to mention Mother’s Day. I realize emergencies happen but since there was no explanation given and it was canceled after the drop off window started I have no idea if it truly was an emergency. As such, I would be very leery to use Wag as you may be out a lot of money and memories.

I used WAG after moving to a new place and needed occasional drop ins/sitting. My experience turned into a complete nightmare. A few of the sitters I used were great, but there are so many that should not be allowed on this app/to care for pets. I schedule someone after I was going away for work, the first day of my trip I woke up to seeing someone I hadn’t booked taking my dogs outside off leash. After checking the inside cameras I saw they spent the entire time lounging around my house naked and having sex/touching themselves in front of my very visible dog camera. I also never saw them pet the dogs and barely acknowledge they existed. After contacting wag I requested a new sitter (and requested only one so it would be consistent/someone didn’t need to leave my key)..I was booked with 2 different people to split it and it was a continued nightmare. The evening person would find they didn’t have water, I expressed my concerns but at that point just wanted to get home since I couldn’t be confident my dogs were even being given water or food. I came home to one food bowl just filled to the brim for no reason and my house smelled like urine. No one had noticed one of my dogs was literally peeing herself from stress. I requested a refund-they have you submit and RDA and if you want any refunds such as apartment cleaning fees, they asked for a renters insurance claim number first. I just got an additional $5 charge on my card today from them for no reason. Please avoid using this service and having your pets neglected.

Money grabbing SCAM! I tried them one time and had a mediocre experience with the walker. I decided to not use them again, but they charged a $95.99 non-refundable fee for annual renewal. Any business that is proud of its service is more than willing to refund cancelled service; frankly, I would have even accepted a pro-rated refund. However, their business model is clearly about getting people to sign up ... quality service, integrity and honesty are not part of their culture.

As a walker and someone who owns shares in this business, I’m disgusted. I’ve been walking with them for 5 years and ever since they have gone public, they only care about money. I went to sit for a cat, the owners instructions were terrible, telling me to find a recycling bin and the keys were in a lock box in a bush next to those keys. When I contacted the pet parent the didn’t seem sorry about the instructions. I walked around for 10 minutes, having people stare at me. I was lucky the police weren’t called on my weird behavior. I was supposed to make $13 + but nope the only gave me $5 for having to cancel since I couldn’t find the keys. $5 doesn’t even cover the gas I spent traveling to the pet parent. I hope pet owners find a better place, my recommendation go to Rover!!!

Have filed a report with the Better Business Bureau. I’ve never received such deplorable customer service in my life. These customer service representatives truly do not care about the dog walkers or the dogs. I was disconnected three times after explaining there was an emergency and I needed help. Not only are the customer service representatives completely uninformed and unhelpful, they are rude and uncaring. Wag! should be shut down immediately due to their disastrous customer service.

If you use this service, DO NOT believe their refund policy stated online. It says that you will receive a full refund if cancelled over 48 hours prior to boarding. However, this is NOT TRUE! You will be charged as soon as they match you to a pet sitter, even if it is a sitter that is not compatible with your or your pet's needs. If you cancel, even well in advance of the start date, they WILL NOT issue a refund. PLEASE do yourself a favor and use Rover! They actually give a care about their customers, pets, and caretakers. Wag won't even give you a phone number to call for any customer service assistance. ABSOLUTELY NOT ACCEPTABLE!

As many reviewers have pointed out, Wag will auto renew its premium service without warning you in advance and won’t give you a refund even if you haven’t used their service because they don’t have adequate coverage for my area, something many other companies will do. When I called, the rep just repeated the same phrases, much like the chat bot that I tried first. Very disappointing and felt extremely dishonest.
