So a friend of mine recommended Wag to me, so I scheduled a few walks for our puppy not long after he came home with us. The first walker arrived in our house (I have a Canary camera), opened up the puppy gate, and then let the dog roam free in our living room while she read a note I left with instructions. The dog peed on our carpet while she was doing this and she did not even notice it happening. The walker took our pup for a 10 foot walk (he can be a little reluctant to walk), then brought him back inside. She noted that he did not pee during the walk (probably because he relieved himself on our carpet) and was not very cooperative. This walker had a full 5.0 review on the Wag app. I gave her one star and I'm sure Wag censored it, so nobody will know that she is an inexperienced walker. When I called customer service, the line was busy and then I got a message machine at noon. Someone eventually called me back and said they would contact the finance department about a refund. No such luck. That same day, I hired a local mom-and-pop company to walk our dog. It has been a month and they have been outstanding!

Really wishing I read all the other horrible reviews before I used this app. Luckily, I have not had as horrible of an experience as others have, but I'll share anyway: My pup usually goes to work with my boyfriend, but on the days that she stays home, I get her a walker. Sometimes I don't know when she's staying home until the day before or day of, which is where the on-demand aspect really seemed useful. I struggled from the get-go with getting walkers to show up on time and be reliable. The longer I used the app, the more often I had issues getting a reliable and timely walker. Worst part, the customer service is terrible. Example: I had a scheduled and confirmed walk for 11am. The walker never showed up, and the company didn't bother to contact me and inform me that my walk didn't go as scheduled. Instead, they scheduled me with another walker for 12:30pm, in hopes that I wouldn't notice/contact them. Sorry, but with my pup, timing is so important. I had to actually pester them for an answer/acknowledgement to why my walker was a no show! After my experiences, and those I've read on here, I'm shopping for a new dog walking service.

Wag set up a meet and greet with a walker that didn't show up. Wag was supposed to find me another walker (one more reliable). It's been over a week and they still haven't found a replacement. Poor customer service

I do not appreciate the false advertising that's Wags does. They send me texts asking if I want a free walk then charge my card $25. I bring it up to customer service and no action is taken. This is so frustrating

Wag would be great if I could communicate directly with the walkers that I like. I really don't enjoy how my dog will bond with a walker and when I book through the app, a different walker pops up for my dog. When I call the customer service, they are rude and act like booking with my preferred walker is a huge hassle. Well, I do not need a third party to communicate for me. Wag is good to find a dependable walker, but I recommend stealing your walker from Wag and paying cash or venmo.

At first I was really looking forward to using this company, excitement soon turned to frustration. They sent me my lockbox, I set up my first dog walk for my 2 year old lab. when I got the notification that my dogs walk was over I came home to find a walker and my dog both stuck outside of my house because the lock box that they had given to me was broken and she couldn't get my house key out of it, I soon sent her home and told her that my husband would be home soon so not to worry about it I contacted Wag I was hung up on twice they didn't seem to really give a crap that I was locked outside of my house with my eight-month-old and it was getting cold out. My husband didn't end up coming home for another 45 minutes and during that time I had called Wag a few more times trying to speak with someone higher than the people they were giving me two nobody seems to care they literally told me to let them know how it goes. My husband ended up getting home and breaking the lock so that we could get inside of our house they never called me to check up and see how things were going I had my second wags walk scheduled and I had to be home to let the dog walker inside of my house because nobody cared to send me a new lock box either. This company is poorly thrown together. You don't even get to speak with the dog walker before they come inside of your home and walk your dog there's no way to coordinate with the dog walker either won't be recommending this company to anyone anytime soon
