My experience with Wag! has been better than other online dog-walking services so far, but still has room for improvement. Although I met one walker for a re-occurring scheduled walk, she only walks my pup one out of three times. The other walkers rarely follow the directions I provide them in my pup's profile, which puts my pup and the walker at potential risk (and stresses me out) - one walker broke part of a leash and did not lock the door, and another was over an hour late. On the up-side, automatic walker replacement ensures that my dog gets walked and I'm not left in the lurch, and customer service has been quite satisfactory.

I like that you can find a walker fast. But the price is too high. I think 30 minutes walk should be around $15 not $25 and the dog walkers start the trip as soon as they get here se by the time they get the dog and start walking 10 minutes has passed already. My dog is old and he walks slow and he’s picky about where he chooses to poop and so everytime I look in the map of where they took him it’s only to the top of the streets and back and I pay 25 for that! I just don’t think that it’s fair if I would walk someone’s dog I would try to take the dog for a decent walk if I’m getting paid $25 or 35-40 for an hour walk. I like the app but they charge a lot and the walkers don’t really care about people’s money. They bring your dog back exactly in 30 minutes or sometimes a few minutes early.

One girl was running late so wag cancelled her. They then couldn’t find anyone to walk our dog. Family member put application in over month ago to work with wag, never received a response and no way to call them and no email response received. Unable to add more than one dog profile. We have two dogs, two houses, but want to share our account (me n bf)...would be nice if this were a feature instead of having to make two accounts.

It’s a great service in theory. It’s just not something you can ever count on. Walkers change their schedule at the last minute or don’t show at all. I would never count on the service if I knew I couldn’t get home to walk my pup if they canceled.

I have been using wag for a long time now as a walker and a pet owner. However, recently I have experienced a lot of issues with wag. I was recently charged three times for a single walk. Wag refunded me for one walk but says they do not see the other charge. I even sent them my bank statement that proved I was charged three times and was still not refunded. I was also charged a month later for a walk I got and wasn’t notified about any of it. As a walker, I was trying to reach out about entering a home that was not clear in the directions. Upon calling wag, they told me that my issue was not urgent and they could not help me. Also as a walker, be aware of scams! I was scheduled for a walk and then received a call from the pet owner saying the walk was canceled but wanted my bank information in order to refund me and give me the "$100 bonus" for being a great walker. Just be careful!

Okay so my review is not about the actual dog walkers they are all great. They take care of your dog and follow instructions to the tee. But beware if you need to book a walk at the last minute that’s where the problems come in. At least in my area I have been unsuccessful 5 out of 5 tries for last minute walks. I’m talking about requesting the morning of an afternoon walk time request. Also you might receive same day promotions for discounted walks good luck getting a booking. The administrative portion of Wags sucks but the dog walking is superb.

1. Lack of transparency, they make it as hard as possible to view your transactions and balance etc.; 2. Both the app and the website are very glitchy; 3. Customer support services almost always take much time to get anything done. 4. They need to do a better job of managing the list of walkers; several I have encountered are very unreliable.

I really enjoy the whole business model, but I don't like that my preferred walkers are only given 15 minutes to respond to the walk request, and then the walk gets automatically assigned to someone else. This is frustrating as I do not like constantly letting strangers into my home, regardless if they are insured or not through Wag. Additionally, during my initial booking for a walker, I had to call the Customer Support line around 8 times to get everything set up correctly as the app was not clearly stating what had been scheduled and with whom. As we were planning to be out of the country for a week, I HAD to confirm that everything was set up as intended, so bit of a pain with all of that; but I will say that the Customer Support team is FABULOUS, and was able to help consistently every time that I called.
