horrible shady company that takes no accountability for its employees. i was abroad in germany when my regular sitter had to leave unexpectedly. desperate i put in a request through wag to get a full time sitter to care for my dogs. due to oriole experiences in which showed its utter lack of professionalism, i am very weary of using them and having anyone in my house (let alone caring for my babies) whom i haven’t check out first. since i really did not have much of a choice in this instance, i selected a caregiver who claimed to have experience with senior tosha including giving them medication. i left this new sitter a deauled list of instructions for my dogs’ care and asked her to please contact me so that we could better discuss their care and my expectations. i never heard from her directly and was limited to texting her through the app. sadly, there was no way around letting her know that it was an emergency and that i was out of the country which i guess opened the door for her to take full advantage of me and the situation. she pretty much ignored my list and only responded with one word responses like “okay.” i was now having even more doubts but WAG would not allow me to cancel the service on the day that she was supposed to start sitting, she showed up over an hour late and stayed for only 20 minutes. her duties included feeding my dogs, giving my senior meds, and letting them all out in the backyard. i made it clear that i expected her to stay with my dogs and actually sit for them. how hard is it to hat sit and watch tv with a bunch of animals? the following day she does not show up until 9am. as a reminder she is SUPPOSED TO BE STAYING THERE! at this point i ask her to just leave as this is not working out and i feel very uncomft. she then turns around and claims that my 10 lb 16 year old dog (who does not have teeth) bit her. i knew at this moment i was being scammed. intone spent days of my vacation trying to get a hold of a live human while fighting with AI bots who keep insisting that they could help me. i filed numerous reports making sure that this “wager” doesn’t not return to my house and my ml he is returned. i am now getting illiterate emails threatening and harassing me and my dog. meanwhile the money is still not returned. this company is a scam that hires any one with a pulse and does not do anything to protect the clients or the pets. do not let these people anywhere near your beloved fur babies. while i have security cameras which show that this woman is lying, i am nonetheless petrified about how far they will take this and how much more why will harass and threaten me. shady shady shady!!!!

I have no way to let you know that once I got home I found out the dog sitter was squatting in my house, using and moving my things, and stole. My dog is also acting very strange and is having anxiety which she had never had before. This dog sitter needs to be BANNED I am filing a police report because I can’t count on wag to help be accountable and this person is still allowed to dog sit.

My friend asked me to write a review for them as they were applying to be a dog walker with Wag. I filled out the review and the next thing I know my Wag account was charged $10. There was no info anywhere on the Wag app with what these charges were for - but although I disputed it on my credit card - the charge still went through. The ABSOLUTE WORST customer service I have ever experienced. There is absolutely no way to speak with anyone at Wag. You can only go back and forth with a BOT so I am not able to find out why I was charged $10. I have since blocked them from my credit card and deleted the App. So best of luck if you ever have an issue.

They did not follow instructions and feed my dog

There is no customer support. All they have is an online AI that tries to answer your questions. It is a shell of a company that has process by manual entry my credit card and charged me $149.00 and I have no account with them.

The last walker I’ve had took my dog across a very busy street— touched things in my home she shouldn’t have. Brought a child to my home every visit —- never confirmed if my dog was child friendly which he is not. The walker brought in my rug delivery— I didn’t ask her to do that— it’s heavy and she could have gotten hurt. I continuously thanked her for her time but I have been livid and at the anxiety this women gave me. She took my peace of mind with my pet. She canceled the last walk— booked for 4 walks and the final one she bailed. Leaving me to find a last minute stranger which I was comfortable with the devil I knew and now I have uncertainty of this new person. The cancellation this walker did removed all the chats even the last one— I can’t see any of the previous messages of telling her to put things back the way she found them— I have cameras. I just needed someone to walk my dog— with common sense. That’s it, that’s all. I called the emergency Wag- no help because I want those message reopened and saved. If something happens to my home, I need documentation on who they sent. Emergency Wag was unhelpful. My trust in this company is gone.

WAG put a hold on funds in my bank for service I did not confirm nor authorize. This group will rip you off and there is no one to contact

My step daughter signed up to be a dog walker. I received a text asking me to endorse her. Wanting to help her, I clicked on the text. I wrote an endorsement. Then the screen came up with PayPal I do but no amount or explanation. I clicked CONTINUE. This immediately charged my GooglePay via PayPal $10. Wag! Says no refunds and I have a credit. Scam on dog walkers friends & relatives. I can only imagine how awful they must be otherwise if they prey on their dog walkers families for a few cheap bucks. They have since stated they will refund the $10. My Step daughter paid a membership fee. It wasn't the money that bothered me - it was the deceitful experience/non-disclosure & I found it odd initially that they allowed friends & relatives to endorse dog walkers. Kind of skirting ethics at Wag!
