As another reviewer stated, used to be great. But tonight I was left high and dry with no walker. I had a confirmation at 4:45 that my dog would be walked, and then went through 5 different confirmation/cancellations before finally realizing at 9:30 pm nobody was ever going to come. It’s really irresponsible to leave a dog alone like that. If there were no walkers, fine, but then stop confirming. I could have made other arrangements. Once wag confirmed to me (5 separate times over the course of many hours) that a walker was on their way, it was their responsibility to keep that commitment. Would not use again without a backup plan.

It was a good run for about a year. Everything up to last month went well, few minor mishaps e.g. cancelling right before the walk but that happens, they were able to re-schedule relatively fast. Last incident got me walk away from their service though. Dog walker somehow manage to get my dog unleashed on our street, which is relatively busy. Nothing gets your heart stop like a text your dog run away.. considering the fact I live in Los Angeles not in a rural area. This should never happen under any circumstances. Left work immediately and luckily was able to catch him. That night I pulled my dog leash little bit harder to see how could he escape and I stopped because I was afraid I actually will hurt him so I can only imagine how hard the walker must have yank the leash. Idk. In the future I hope they spend time and resources to actually train their walkers and not just hire anyone and let them go to work. Pro-Tip: If you find a good walker make him/her your recommended walker and do everything to always schedule that person. Otherwise it’s a game of roulette.

He came home with an injured back

Unfortunately this is a completely unreliable service. Last night I scheduled an advanced walk for 8 pm hours in advance but walkers kept confirming and canceling. I spent all night worrying about my dog and on the phone with customer service reps and no one ever came to walk my dog!! A separate deeply disturbing incident occurred in the past with Wag. I cancelled an evening walk since no walkers were available. I received text confirmation that my walk had been cancelled but I woke up to a "report card" that someone came in and walked my dog at 1:09 am!!! This apparently happened while I was sleeping and I had no idea which is so creepy! There have been times where Wag has been extremely helpful but due to the unreliability of it I do not recommend it.

Wag! has some serious problems to deal with. If you schedule reoccurring walks in advance, you get a discounted rate for those walks. The problem: if the walker does not show up or cancels (this happens very often), Wag! will have to find a new walker. You will be charged the full price of the walk, and Wag! will do nothing to notify you. Customer support is atrocious. They are not only unresponsive but when you do get a hold of someone and request to speak with a supervisor, they say that the supervisor is on another call. They also claim that they can not share the name of their supervisor or when they'll call back, and won't guarantee that you will get a callback. I have requested to speak with a customer support supervisor half a dozen times, and I have never gotten a response.

Was good until it got very dangerous I really enjoyed working for WAG for 1.5 years. I walked many dogs and had a 5 star rating from customers. This was until I got bitten by a dog and had serious damage to my hand. WAG and the dog owners do not help pay for medical bills or any damages. On top of that, they do not require dog owners to disclose any important safety information about the dog..... when I asked if they could do that to protect people walking dogs they said they will NOT. That is EXTREMELY SKETCHY and I do not feel safe walking dogs now that they don't care about our well-being whats so ever. I understand not paying as a third party contractor. What I don't understand is they do NOTHING to protect their walkers. DANGER DANGER DANGER.

So I have used Wag for years and had a positive experience. Until now, this past weekend while I was out of town, a walker canceled (“requested a cover”) before our scheduled Saturday evening walk. Given the time, Wag “couldn’t find another walker.” As a result, I Jada to drive home at 1:00 am to take care of my dog. She would be left in the crate for over 18 hours, if I didn’t do this which is completely unacceptable. I was very fortunate that I could come home, but I have no idea what I would have done if I was further away and unable to get home to take care of her. There was no accountability on Wag’s part. I was basically told that it was too bad. For a company that made me believe they cared about my dog’s wellbeing, they didn’t show it with their actions. I will never use them again after the poor customer service I experienced when I actually had to interact with the company.

Looks like some people have had positive experiences but I won’t be using them again. Do they expect people to be at home when they agree to come and walk your dog?? It seems so. We want someone that can come in to our house while we are away, once booked, and we don’t have to worry. Not so. We were away golfing for several hours with an agreement that Wag had a walker coming. Thirty minutes before, the person cancelled and ( while trying to golf) we received automated messages every 15 min telling us they were in the process of finding someone. Finally an hour and a half later they said they had found someone who could come, however it was at the time we would be returning. Of course could not contact them right away ( until I had internet), but as soon as I could I called them to tell them I would not be paying and also will not be using Wag again. Cannot trust their service or their word.
