An entire community is searching for Buddy, a service dog lost in the care of one of Wag's walkers. The company has been less than helpful and one of their representatives was witnessed tossing Buddy's missing posters to the ground. Do your research people. The story is amazing!

Irresponsible and deceitful
Irresponsible and deceitful. Poor background screening for their dog walkers. Numerous instances of lost pets and Wag offers little or no support for owners to find them.
Very bad reputation. Only interested in making money and do not really care about the pets.
Shameful

Do not use Wag.
I am appalled with my overall experience with Wag as a company and how distasteful and unprofessional the customer service I received was (specifically, from Taylor in the Brooklyn Dumbo Office). I signed up to be a dog walker. The only orientation for New York City that isn't during work hours was at 7am in Brooklyn.... I arrived at 7:03 to find two other Wag walker applicants waiting outside the door of Wag. We waited for 30 minutes...called, emailed, knocked, etc. No one answered or was working at the front desk. Finally, per help of a janitor, we got someone (Taylor) from Wag to come down to explain what was going on. She (rudely) told us she was now halfway through her orientation and we would have to reschedule, and even if we were 1 minute late we would have missed information and would have to reschedule. So I wasted 2.5+ hours of my morning, starting at 6am, and 20 dollars for transportation, because of a rule that they never said existed. On top of that, possibly worst of all, later that day I received a horrible email from Taylor/customer service. Not only did she not apologize or explain the situation, she spoke down to me throughout her entire note.
To begin, I arrived at 7:03am this morning. Never in my life, whether it be in college, at work, or volunteer experiences, have I been to an orientation that locks their doors three minutes after the intended start time. They evidently failed to take into account traffic, delayed trains, and simple human behavior. I would suggest a 5-10 minute grace period when you are working with humans. And if you are going to be such extremists on time, you should be providing a bolded and clear statement in your pre-orientation email. “It is best to come 10-15 minutes early” will not cut it. Everyone needs to be made aware that if you are to arrive so much as one minute late, you will be locked out of the building. I would also suggest someone working at the front desk, and a clear sign stating you cannot enter the building one second past 7am.
To further validate my point, there were two other Wag! applicants locked outside of the building in the same predicament as myself. The piece of paper that said “doors open at 6:45 and 7am” does not allude to one thinking they will not be allowed in the building. They just left three potentially valuable Waggers locked outside of the building early in the morning with no explanation.
I have done my research and have found countless negative customer service reviews about Wag. I would never want to be a part of such a disorganized, unreliable service. The fact that they hired this woman to run an orientation leads me to believe that upper level management is just as unprofessional and ill-equipped to value their dog walkers, yet alone care for anyone’s precious animal! And after all of that, at the very least, I would have liked a simple apology rather than an abrasive, unscrupulous, passive aggressive response to this situation.

Wag claims to have certified walkers
Wag claims to have certified walkers. In their orientation they say they can't give any advice even remotely considered training, because walkers would not be considered independent contractors. They basically hire anyone who doesn't look homeless. There is no expertise. They have claims all day long of dog and person injuries due to the lack of experience in their walkers. Oh their insurance doesn't cover the walkers, just the dogs. Wag shorts their walkers pay, and also shorts pay for w-2 employees. Not an ethical company.

LOOKING FOR UNRELIABLE AND IRRESPONSIBLE WALKERS??
If you are looking for walkers that care nothing about your dog and just a dollar going into there pocket, you are in the right place. Most of the walkers show up when they want and not when it is scheduled. They even accept walks just in case they can make it, not if they are 100% certain they can. If they can't make it, they cancel, and you are out of walker until they find a new one, which can take up to 2 hours or more. A representative asked if I wanted the walker blocked, which is great for me but not so great for any other owners and dogs who might be unfortunate enough to get the same walker. This service seems so great on the surface, but no substance underneath.

I scheduled a walk and the walker never showed up but the app showed that they were on a walk.
I scheduled a walk and the walker called to say she was lost. I gave her directions. Soon after the app showed that my dogs were on a walk and she even marked that my dogs had peed twice. I got home while they were supposedly still walking and my dogs were still home. She never came. I contacted wag and they stated that the would refund me and make sure I never got her again as a walker. They refused to release her. They stated that her phone had died and she couldn't find my place....this argument makes no sense! How can GPS track her if her phone died and how can she mark where they peed if her phone died. It is unacceptable that they would keep someone on as a walker that has completely lied and possibly cheat another customer. I just looked at her reviews and she did this to others too!!!!!

Walker stole from us...
This was our first time using wag. If I could give zero stars, I would. First, the walker came in and didn't walk the dog. She texted us saying the dog just wanted to play so she didn't take him out. The purpose of this service is to WALK YOUR DOG. Second, the woman stole from us. She commented about our record player and albums (which, at the time seemed innocent enough), but now we are missing some of our most valuable albums.
Do not trust this company. Do not let them in your house.
