A new level of techno fascism. I was using a server at Vultr.com as a VPN in order to counteract censorship in China, which blocks off quite a bit of the internet. I paid a guy 350$ to set it up. Vultr suspended the server in about 3 days because we had a BitTorrent download a movie on it. It was absolutely ridiculous. They wanted lengthy explanations and promises about how this would never happen again, and we had to be profusely sorry about it. And blah blah blah. Finally after about a WEEK, they re-activated it (This was all while I was overseas in a country with zero access to the normal internet). After about a week they blocked it again. They wanted a followup promise and essay on why downloading movies is bad, and how I should be ashamed of myself and how i'm really just a worthless human being. So did that... Then they re-activated it AGAIN. Then a week later the useless sycophants suspended it again. And this time permanently. At that point I knew I'd lost my 350$ investment, and there was nothing I could do. Another Hollywood billionaire complained about a movie download, and how i'm just so so bad, and Vultr just absolutely did everything they could to please the billionaire and disregard ME their customer a poor traveling hippie who can't even check his email. So yeah, if you wanna experience techno-fascism at it's finest. Try Vultr! Highly recommended! PS. They like billionaries!

Very slow servers compared to similar hosting companies

Their customer service is really bad. They do not care about good customer relations. They also do not have any phone number to contact. Talk about lack of transparency!!

They are Giving FAKE Promo Credit for 250 USD for 30 days, But it A SCAM because they Did Credit Reversal on 24 Days, That Mean i was charge with 232.60 USD for Using there Services and contacted there Support they Told me they will again Give me credit after Giving them my A photo of your government issued ID or Passport. And Got THIS MAIL: Including pending charges, your account is carrying a $232.60 balance. In order to cover your current balance and your estimated monthly costs, our billing system will automatically deposit $1600.00 from your payment method on file in 24 hours.

Very bad experience using this , i top up 1800 and suspended my account , will not recommended for anyone who want to find server , i provided my verification for 7 times and they rejected , one of my card is wise virtual card and thier customer service like no brain or eyes to see is a virtual card ....

I use their service longtime ago, but I found problem start when they over charge my credit without active instance. When I ask to refund theyreject. Second time I just try to create new instace for test purpose with left over 100 usd credit on my account but suddenly they suspend my server without good reason and aks for private infomation like a thief or scammer doing for re activate instance. Please think twice and not be victim of this scammer company, This is very bad company I wonder why they not in jail yet. PS.Don't need to trust me and other user you can check their company address on google map and you will wonder this is real cloud provider? they dont even have real business building just operation in service apartment?

Company was advised to me by a YouTube channel and I really wanted to give it a try. But the free credit (for trial) weren't given (" This card is not eligible for free credit promotions."), which is strange, because bigger companies like Oracle and AWS don't have a problem with it. I was even prepared to deposit a small amount, but that wasn't good enough. So bye bye Vultr. Please do accept that credit cards are not the primary payment method in a lot of countries and that prepaid-card (as long as they are able to fill a deposit) are just as good.

*** AVOID like the plague!! Awful service. ***. We used to have over 100+ VPS nodes with this company but now we are starting to move away from them. They have frequent service outages. If this is not bad enough, they never test their network post outage. We frequently find our production VPS nodes have fallen off the network. *** There is no phone number one can call. *** You rely on them getting back to you via email whilst you are panicking with no service. Right now we are waiting for our VPS network issue to be resolved. This was caused as a direct result of an outage at their end. When you ask for accountability or compensation, there is NONE!
