we have over 100 instances with Vultr and in the last year they have been abysmal in everything literally every instance regardless of OS will hang once a week their support is a joke, no phone number, no confidence in what they do they push all changes to production without testing, YOLO! after every catastrophic failure you can bet another glitch is coming because it's how they roll eg. they fix a big outage and then another outage is on the way because someone there decides to test something else if you want to develop an aneurysm join Vultr, I can't be more serious running production workloads on Vultr is the definition of lunacy

The truly disheartening aspect is that beneath all this lies a potentially good product, albeit hidden deep within.

If you are fine with your service being randomly suspended, Vultr are the provider of choice. Vultr suspended my service due to a copyright infringement committed by a former user of their service. They allocated me their IP address when I signed up and I started receiving copyright infringement notices. I queried the issue and they acknowledged it was an infringement but one of their previous clients, but then went and suspended my service and I can't get it unsuspended!

I already paid them $45 for using their server,when i asked them to unblock the smtp port for sending email. We will review another request in 30 days after the account has established history and shown normal account usage, leaving the account dormant does not count as normal use ". I got frustrated before launching my portal here. If i can't send an email from my server then what's the use of this bloody hosting. More pathetic is their support,they usually respond after 12-15hrs. Not reliable for business hosting.

Vultr as in vultures for money. NEVER use this cloud provider. They will do everything to hold on to your money even if it means scamming you.
