You're here to see if this is real. Fair. Here's the scoreboard: 37,236 units shipped, 4.8★ on Trustpilot, and most of these reviews are from people who were skeptical first too. What makes us different: small tool, serious power, runs on the Makita, Milwaukee, and DeWalt batteries you already own. We're a US & UK based team that obsesses over quality — every unit is vetted and QC'd before it ships. Backed by a 90-Day One-Pull Test Drive and a support team (Diane, Marielle, Kerbie) that actually fixes things fast. Read a few reviews below and you'll see the pattern.

My husband bought this after seeing the ads. We've used it less than 10 times to blow leaves out of short driveway. Today, the sound changed and then it blew up in my son's hand with sparks and smell. A round piece my husband said was called a housing flew out like a bullet. It did everything that the ads said it would not. That was a very expensive mistake. He bought it with battery and charging unit. I'm so disappointed. It was really fun to use until this happened. The nonstop ads for 43% off adds salt to the wound.

Jane, reading this made my stomach drop.
A tool “blowing up” with sparks and a housing piece flying like a bullet is absolutely not acceptable and is treated as a serious safety incident on our side, not just “a bad unit.”
First, I’m relieved your son is okay.
Second, we need to get that blower out of circulation, replace it, and have our engineers tear it down so we can see exactly what failed.
Please email [email protected] with the subject “Trustpilot – Jane safety issue” so we can:
(1) arrange a replacement at our cost,
(2) cover return/shipping on the failed unit, and
(3) keep you updated on what we find.
For anyone reading this: if a VortexHaus ever behaves like this, contact us immediately – we stand behind the product and we investigate every serious failure.

Lost order and no response from Vortex.
Eight days after ordering, I have no response from Vortex about a shipment which still says "shipping label on process". Customer service is important to me and they have failed on their end. One star only!
Response from VortexHaus USAug 13, 2026
John, eight days of “label created” with no movement and no clear answer from us is exactly the kind of online‑order nightmare I hate as a customer.
You’re right to hammer us with a 1‑star when it feels like the order disappeared and no one is actually owning it.
We’ll either get this blower on your porch fast or get your money back just as fast – you shouldn’t be in limbo.
Please email [email protected] with the subject “Trustpilot – John lost order” so the team can jump straight to your ticket, confirm what happened with the shipment, and resolve it without you having to chase us again.

Misleading, beware!!
I placed an order on July 1, and, very quickly thereafter, received a shipping notice. Pretty impressive turnaround, at least I thought. Today, July 9, I checked the shipping status, and it showed, "Shipping Label Created" with no other progress or updates. I sent an email to the company requesting a status update, and I was told there's an issue with the address I provided. I immediately checked, and there's no issue. When I responded, the representative suggested perhaps I live in a rural area and their carrier is unable to complete delivery, offering alternatively to have it shipped to a nearby post office. Here's the problem - my residence is located just miles from a top-20 U.S. metropolitan area; I get packages delivered to my house frequently without any issues whatsoever. After I mentioned this to the representative, she/he then changed course and mentioned "the package exception is due to your shipment going through import customs clearance in Chicago." Oh, boy, here we go...a U.S.-based company that prides itself on American-made products is manufacturing in China and shipping here. I DON'T want to hear the most common boiler plate line that domestic inventory is sold out and shipping was shifted to a warehouse abroad for my convenience. I'd rather be told there will be a shipping delay and have it originate domestically. As a first time customer, this type of misleading practice causes me to lose all confidence. Furthermore, it's clear no one on their end is paying any attention to their logistics otherwise I wouldn't have needed to reach out to get this explanation. With that, I requested to cancel the order and be provided with a full refund back to my credit card, and I was denied because the product had already been shipped, now leaving me with the headache of awaiting the package, paying to ship it back, and there's no telling how long it will take to get a refund (recall I was offered to have the product rerouted to a post office, but they can do nothing when I want to refuse it). Do yourself a favor and buy a similar product from a reputable retailer.

Hey Dave, Arthur here. Founder of VortexHaus.
You’re right to be pissed about this experience. If I got a “label created” tracking limbo, three different explanations, and then found out it was clearing customs instead of shipping from where I expected, I’d feel misled too. That’s on me.
We are a US‑based company with global manufacturing, and in your case we created a whiplash of half‑answers instead of one clear, explanation. The confusion around your address, the rural comment, and then the customs explanation reads like no one was actually owning your shipment end‑to‑end. That’s exactly what we’re tightening up.
Here’s what we’ll do next:
(1) Logistics audit on your case: Your order is being used as a live audit for how we handle exceptions: where it ships from, how we update tracking, and how we explain it. That includes tightening the tracking page so “label created” limbo and customs holds are more visible and better explained.
(2) Full refund, no questions asked. I’ll refund your order in full so you’re not financing an experience you don’t trust.
(3) Free unit if you still want to judge the product: If you’re open to it, we’ll ship you a fresh unit at our cost once this is cleaned up so you can judge the tool on what it does in your driveway, not how badly we handled communication.
(4) Priority handling: Your ticket will be flagged for priority so this is resolved quickly and cleanly, without more back‑and‑forth or you paying to ship anything back.
If you’re willing, email [email protected] with the subject line “Trustpilot – Dave logistics” so we can pull up your order immediately and get all of this done without more headache on your side.
For anyone else reading this. When we screw up, the responsibility is on us, not you. Reviews like Dave’s are uncomfortable to read but essential – they force us to fix logistics and be more upfront about where and how we ship.
Thank you for holding our feet to the fire on this and giving us a chance to make it right.

Very expensive and unsafe
Very expensive and unsafe. Mine caught fire after using it.
Response from VortexHaus USApr 16, 2026
Hey Kevin,
Arthur here. Founder of VortexHaus.
I’m really sorry you went through that. A tool catching fire, even once, is a hard stop for me. You shouldn’t be thinking about safety when you pull the trigger; that’s our job.
Here’s what we’ll do next:
(1) Engineering review: Your case is being sent straight to our engineering and QC teams so we can inspect this failure mode and bake the learnings into the next production and inspection cycles.
(2) Full refund, no questions asked: We’ll refund your order in full so you’re not paying for a tool you don’t trust.
(3) Free replacement if you’d like one: If you’re open to it, we’ll also ship you a fresh unit at our cost so you can judge the product on how it should perform, not on a defective experience.
(4) Priority handling: Your ticket will be flagged for priority so this is resolved quickly and cleanly, without more back‑and‑forth.
Please remove the battery and don’t use that unit again, and then email [email protected] with the subject line “Trustpilot – Kevin R Safety” so we can locate your order immediately and get this handled.
The responsibility is on us, not you. Reviews like yours are uncomfortable to read but essential – they force us to tighten systems, improve QC, and earn back trust the hard way. We take that seriously.
Thank you for calling it out. We’ll make this right, and we will do better.

Broke on First Use, Then Made Me Fix It Myself
I was genuinely excited to use my new Vortx Haus blower, but that excitement was short-lived. The unit failed after the very first use — not after months of wear, not after some accident. First. Use.
I immediately contacted customer service and did everything right: reached out promptly, explained the issue in detail, and even provided photos documenting the defect. What did they do with all of that? They shipped me a box of parts and essentially told me to fix it myself.
I'm sorry — I bought a finished product, not a DIY kit. I'm not a repair technician, and I shouldn't have to become one to use something I just purchased. If the unit is defective out of the gate, the solution should be a replacement or a refund, not a parts shipment and a "good luck."
The whole experience screams that the company knows there's a quality control problem and has decided that the customer's time and labor are acceptable substitutes for actually standing behind their product. Zero accountability, zero effort, and complete disregard for the customer's time.
Save yourself the frustration — look elsewhere
Response from VortexHaus USMar 24, 2026
Ruben, you’re right to be angry about that experience, and I’m glad you spelled it out this clearly.
If a unit fails on first use, you should not be getting a box of parts and a homework assignment. That’s a miss on our side – both operationally and philosophically. You bought a finished tool, not a kit.
We do sometimes send parts when a customer specifically wants to repair rather than replace, but in a first‑use failure like yours, the default should be a full replacement or refund. That’s on me.
Here’s what I’d like to do:
(1) If you’re willing, email [email protected] with the subject line “Trustpilot – Ruben M”.
(2) We’ll either:
- Ship you a complete replacement unit and you can send the broken one to recycling, or
- Take it back and refund you so you’re not stuck with something you don’t trust.
And internally, I’ll be using your review as a training example for when we should not lead with “here are parts” as the solution.
Thank you for holding our feet to the fire on this.

Not. Recommended.
Dont bye this product apparently there are different products for your battery. This is not clearly stated if they send you the wrong one they want you to pay for the return and the exchange this is not acceptable. It is obviously clearly not stated and asking what battery you were working from the item feels very light very cheap not quite sure if nasty as I can’t work it for the money and for the returns policy I would not recommend this product or consider recommending it.
Response from VortexHaus USMar 16, 2026
Martin, you’re right to be frustrated here, and I appreciate you spelling it out.
We do have different versions for different battery platforms (DeWalt / Makita / Milwaukee), and if that isn’t crystal clear on the site, that’s our fault, not yours. Early on, the battery selection and copy were too easy to miss – we’ve already been tightening that up so people can’t accidentally end up with the wrong unit.
On the return / exchange side: if the confusion comes from how we present it, you should not be paying to fix our mistake. If that’s what you were told, that’s on me and we need to correct it.
If you’re willing, please email our team at [email protected] with the subject line “Trustpilot – Martin M” and we’ll do one of two things, your choice:
1 - Get you the correct battery‑compatible version on our dime, or
2 - Take the unit back and refund you so you’re not stuck with something you can’t use.
The blower is intentionally very light – a lot of our 55+ customers want that over a heavy leaf blower – but if it doesn’t feel worth the money to you, we shouldn’t be keeping your money.
Thanks again for being blunt. Reviews like this are what force us to fix the rough edges instead of pretending they’re not there.

Have not received blower
Have not received blower. I ordered on December 31, it’s now January 16 and shipping info shows it should have arrived Jan 14. Emailed Vortex, waiting for response.

Juice not worth the squeeze
Fair warning, this blower costs $200 bucks and it does not come with a battery or a charger. Simply a piece of plastic. It's decently strong, but you will be spending $350 bucks by the time you buy a battery and charger. Also, to make things harder - they don't stock any chargers, so you have to go out and find that on your own. It works for about 15 minutes on one battery, so having a second battery is handy - now you are at like $450 bucks total. Its not worth it. They
Response from VortexHaus USJan 14, 2026
Hey Gregory,
Arthur here. Founder of VortexHaus.
Thanks for the honest feedback — I appreciate you calling it out directly.
You’re right about a few things:
• The unit is a bare tool (no battery/charger)
• If you don’t already own compatible batteries, the total cost goes up
We’ll update the product page to make this even clearer. That part is on us.
Here’s what I can do for you right now:
Option A: Full refund if you want to return it — no questions asked.
Option B: If you want to keep it, we can sponsor a compatible battery/charger so you’re not overpaying.
Just reference this review when you message support and we’ll fast-track it.
We don’t hide from feedback, we fix things.
Arthur
