I spoke with Vivant about a home security system for our home after our fire. We did have the system before and loved it. This time, they asked for money upfront which I paid and was told if we changed our minds they would refund that cost that day. Well we changed our minds as the quote was a bit high and we could not fit it in our budget at this time. We contacted Vivant and was told they would place the deposit back in our account. They never did. I contacted customer service again and they said there are no notes in their system and they continued to try and convince me I needed their system. This company is no longer a company I trust and there are much more cost effective systems out there that won't steel your money. I would give them a zero if I could. Also, I am still waiting on my $99 back for a system I never received!!!!

I was concerned because when I said I was interested the sales rep told me he could not take my credit card and could only take a bank account card. Why did they insist on having my bank account number? The credit card would have paid. That is suspicious. When I called the company the guy said that he would only take a bank account card not a credit card, when I said "No way", suddenly he changed his mind and said he could take a credit card. He gave me some story about it depends on what package I bought. That is bull crap. All they need is to be paid it does not matter if it is a credit card or bank card. They wanted my bank account info. Also, when I asked him to come back in a few days so I can research his company to make sure it was legitimate, he said I had to pay now. He would not be back. Those "Buy Now" schemes are an indicator of a potential scam. Also when I said I wanted to do research the guy insisted that I talk only to him. I was suspicious because he tried to isolate me from talking to others about the company. Too many red flags

2024-2026: Called during cancellation period for new service and got no help with cancelling service. Vivant Installed equipment on day contract was signed without telling us they were going to do so. Left wires hanging out of the utility box. Was told we must buy all new sensors for windows when some of the windows are hooked up and functional but not listed on the Smart Hub. Tech home appts. scheduled then cancelled by company. Continually told we must buy all new sensors for windows, which is FALSE. Cameras didn’t even last two years before malfunctioning. Went through arbitration and won. Would never do business with Vivant again. I would suggest minimally filing a complaint with your state Attorney General, and any other state or federal agencies that deal with these issues. Your state and federal representative offices should be able to steer you in the right direction. If you have phone logs and emails to back up your claims arbitration is worth it. Vivant had the audacity to ask for attorney fees (they were denied).

I have been trying to cancel my Vivint service for the past two days, and it has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I have ever had. I have spent hours and hours on the phone, only to be transferred from one representative to another without anyone actually resolving my issue. After all this time, my service is still not canceled. My contract clearly states that it is for five years. It also states that if I cancel early, I can either pay an early termination fee or pay off the financed equipment to avoid that fee. I chose to pay off my equipment within the first 6–7 months of having the service. Now, more than two and a half years later, I am simply trying to cancel because I am moving. Instead of honoring the terms of their own agreement, they continue to pass me around from one department to another, making the cancellation process unnecessarily difficult and exhausting. It feels like the system is designed to keep customers paying for a service they no longer want, even when they have followed the contract. If you are considering Vivint, read every detail carefully and think twice before signing up. Canceling should not require days of phone calls and endless transfers. 🚨 DO NOT GET VIVINT. RUN AWAY. 🚨

Vivant.com Home security…..Literally the worst company ever!!!!! our security and cameras have been malfunctioning every time it rains. It’s like there’s a short in the system. I call their customer support and you get somebody from a Third World country that you can barely understand and then they want to charge me to send somebody out to try to fix it when the equipment is less than six months old! Absolutely ridiculous ,….. run from this company!

They never shipped my package and lied. They're saying they shipped it and it magically made it to my house all in one day. Lmao. I want a refund.

I gave it 2 stars because at one time they were OK. I paid them $45 on June 27,2025 for one months service that never was available. They were reluctant to talk and just didn't bother calling g me. I paid for my equipment ($150.00 approx) on time. As soon as it was paid off my monthly fee was doubled. I cancelled the service about four years ago. I called to re-activate and explained everything clearly. I only need a new battery. They kept putting me off saying they were looking for a technician to come here. Finally, on my third call they said they do not operate in NY a more. They are based in Utah. On my last call to them( one week ago) they said they would credit my payment back to my bank. They claim it could take one month. I hope somebody can get through to them. They were a nuisance with their texts and people on phone who seemed to have a poor command of English. If you see or hear their ads just stay clear of them.
