Stood in line for an hour before my car could be seen for a simple nail trimming. Once I got to the counter the girls already did not want to remove my cat from the carrier so I had to do so myself. Once my cat was out of the carrier they said they would not be doing the nail trimming since he was stiff. This place is also very overpriced stick with your regular vet because all you’ll get here is poor service and an unhappy wallet.

Awful and abusive
Awful and abusive. Manhandled my cats. Scruff grabbing (this is seen as an aggressive act with cats and is a move when a predator attacks. Pulling them out of their kennels against their will -NEVER EVER has their vet touched them in such a manner.. even in the worst of circumstances. Then when we tried to step in, the woman said "it's policy" I don't think the policy says to traumatize an animal and aggressively handle them. My cats are extremely nervous for us to touch them, especially around their necks. That was not a problem before taking them to these people. STAY AWAY-GO TO YOUR VET!!!!

Puppy exam
Puppy exam
Had three puppies examined by their vet for physicals before leaving for new homes due to our regular vet being booked! The vet was rude (anti dog breeder clearly). Told her they were all micro chipped already and very snotty lily said “well DO YOU OWN A SCANNER). Well my response was yes ma’am I do in fact own a chip scanner! I wouldn’t make much sense for me to identify my puppies via a chip if I didn’t have a scanner 🙄. She then proceeded to scrape them all for fleas. States she found flea dirt on one puppy and put it on EVERY exam sheet. The she grilled me about what vaccines they’ve had, how they were administered (nasally for bordetella and sub q 5-way) and told me vaccines done at home are not effective! What. Same vaccines ordered from revival your office uses. I also give early Neopar and vet argued with me that Neopar would not work due to maternal antibodies. I said I’ve read the studies and literature on the vaccine. Let’s just say I will never pay for another exam at a VIP center! I’m paying for your services not your judgement or condescending behavior. Education is fine on any topic that betters the love of my dogs but whether I own a microchip scanner or not is really none of your business. 😡

Poor Customer Service
Our pet was seen by a VIP Petcare vet in New Port Richie Florida in the spring. While they took my wife's name, they used my email address (firstname.lastname @ provider.com) to email the receipts. I went to order new Heartgard via an online pet supply and VIP Petcare wouldn't approve the dispensing of the medication. After several attempts to contact VIP Petcare, and HOURS on hold, I finally reached (non)Customer Service only to be told that company policy is to only discuss an account with the individual listed on the account (remember my email was the email account of record). What! - Is pet care now covered by HIPPA? What garbage. Customer beware.

Rude vet, overpriced, and will not correct errors in record
The first visit I had was good - expensive - but an a stall good experience. The second visit was awful! The vet never even spoke to me all all - there was an assistant who came out and talked to me. I was not told my cat has a fever - had to read that in the report I got later. The indie on my cat was wrong and despite calling customer support, they refused to correct the record and the vet was rude to say the least. I would not recommend this service to anyone!! Way over priced and not at all willing to do what is best for the pet and correct their mistakes!

Untrustworthy when it comes to prices
Untrustworthy when it comes to prices. They let you think that you’re getting a good deal meanwhile, they don’t mention that the booster shots are an additional charge since their ‘Choice Package’ specifically list the inclusion. And here we thought that these people are decent and honorable the way they market themselves

Who Does That? Don’t Trust Your Pet’s Health to VIP
The first time I went VIP Wellness, inside Tractor Supply in Watsonville CA, they were unable to do all of the preventative testing because my dog was having an allergic reaction to flea saliva that resulted in a skin infection. They were helpful that day and seemed competent so I signed up, and I am paying monthly, for the plan they were selling. That was 5 months ago and it’s been awful since. I have tried multiple times to get back in to complete my dog’s wellness exam and testing and to get more flea meds, but they continuously cancel their clinics & sometimes at the last minute but I didn’t stress it because my dog was healthy.
My dog recently starting shaking his head which I initially thought was related to his seasonal allergies, but I called the 24/7 vet helpline just in case. There was an option to mark my place inline and receive a call back when it was my turn. I received a call after more than 4 hours- they promptly hung up on me. I called back multiple times after that and repeated the process of having someone call me back. It’s been 7 days and no one ever called back. After days of calling I finally reached a very nice Vet Tech. She gave good advice; told me what to watch out for and when to seek care. When I tried to seek that care, I couldn’t they cancelled their scheduled clinics days and apparently there are no other clinics within a 50 mile radius because they’ve closed (since I signed up). They finally had their clinic on Thursday. I arrived with my dog 90 minutes after it opened. I told them that my dog needed to be seen for a possible ear infection. The reception person left for a minute and came back and told me they couldn’t help me because their otoscope light was out and that I should come back “next week”. I pushed back stating there was nothing that prevented the vet from completing the rest of the exam. After a bunch of “sorry we can’t help you” she finally begrudgingly said she would put me on the list but they probably would not get to us because they had a list of pets needing heart worm tests. I was clearly upset and told her that if my dog was not seen/treated it could result in a need for ER care in the next 5 days- the day of the supposed next clinic.. She couldn’t have cared less. For the record their was not another animal or owner in sight while we interacted or even as I shopped in the store.
I never recieved a call that day, and sure enough, last night my dog became obviously very ill. I had to wrap. him in cool wet towels to bring down his fever, I gave him tramadol for his pain and fever and started giving him antibiotics I had leftover from my other dog. Thank God I had them and as a former ER nurse I felt comfortable giving them, and that I also know a vet tech who advised me that my plan would not harm my dog. I would have otherwise had to pay hundreds of dollars for weekend middle of the night emergency vet care. My dog is doing a little better now, but it didn’t have to come down to this. For some reason, that is unclear to me, they didn’t want to see my dog that day and/or they decided preventative testing was more important than a sick dog. Who does that? If I did that sort of thing with a human patient I would lose my job. The staff at VIP won’t likely meet that fate, but they have lost a very vocal customer. I will be cancelling my plan and returning to my regular vet.

Horrible and unprofessional. Never again.
I’ve been taking my dog to the same location for several years- In the midlands of SC. After today, I will never take my dog ever again. The vet techs were ok, but the vet was incredibly rude. She didn’t even have the professionalism or decency to speak when I said hello and asked a question. She stood there like she was bothered that she was even there. Will never go back to them.
