Oh, boy, I wish I had read some of these reviews before I opened my account with Vio. I did do a search, and everything looked good, with a 3.9% interest rate, FDIC insured and recommended safe by a Google and A.I. search. Fortunately, I just put a few hundred dollars, instead of the entire nest egg of tens of thousands into this clunker of a bank. The money was transferred a week ago, but it is still not reflected in my account. Numerous attempts to contact this bank have resulted in being ghosted. It looks like I'm in danger of losing the few hundred dollars as this drags on and on. AVOID this bank, it is not worth the higher rate if you cannot contact them -and- you are worried about access to your funds.

Their terrible website and app were a trade-off I was willing to make for the high interest rate, but I recently tried to wire money out, and they made it almost impossible. They kept making up reasons they could not wire the money out. First, I needed the authorization form notarized. None of my other banks do this, but this kind of makes sense for security maybe? Next they rejected my wire because they said they could not accept any forms that were completed digitally. They said the entire form needed to be completed in pen to be valid. They also said I needed a Jurat, which is only supposed to apply if the bank is located in California. The next day I was supposed to close on a house and needed the money from vio immediately. I used my lunch break at work to go back and get everything notarized again and redo the forms in pen. I submitted all forms and called to inform them that I had sent the forms and needed the wire processed the same day. They reassured me that they had everything they needed to process the wire and verified the wire instructions with readback. When I called back later that same day, I was informed that the wire was not initiated because even though they had all of the information for the title company I was wiring the money to, they did not know which branch to call. No idea why they had to call them or why they couldn't just call the main number and figure it out from there. I gave them the number for the branch and the name of my escrow officer, and they assured me that although it was too late to process my offer the same day, they had everything they needed and would process it first thing the next morning. The next morning, I was already a day late on closing the deal for my new home. I called twice to check up on the status of my wire and was told it was in process and was certain to go through at any minute. When I got a call back from them, I was sure it would be good news that the wire had gone through, but again I was disappointed and shocked. They told me that the wire request had been rejected because they did not believe I was buying a house, and they requested additional documentation proving I was buying a house. I reminded them that they had already spoken directly with my escrow officer and that this is my money, and they can't just refuse to give it to me for BS reasons they make up on the spot. They again insisted that I provide written documentation that I was buying a house, which I did. After one more call where I demanded my money and accused them of running a ponzi scheme they called me back to confirm the wire instruction with me for a third time. After this, it finally processed. After all of this, I look at my account details and see that the interest rate had decreased dramatically. With no high interest rate and a bank that seems to want to control my money at all cost I see no redeeming qualities for vio bank.

My experience with MidFirst Bank was extremely unprofessional and concerning from start to finish. During my initial visit, the branch manager (Jessica) made inappropriate comments implying potential money laundering and openly discussed another customer’s situation in front of me while on the phone with her employee. She informed me that customer was in trouble for money laundering. That alone raised serious concerns about privacy and professionalism. I informed her that all of my businesses and transactions were legitimate. My account was also set up incorrectly that same day, which prevented me from accessing my funds and using Zelle for weeks. I had to file a CFPB complaint just to get the account corrected. None of the Midfirst employees knew who the president of vice president of Midfirst was. I wasn't made aware until I filed a CPFB complaint. After the issue was fixed, I asked a reasonable question (to the VP - David) about who had access to my account and requested that the same branch manager not access it due to her prior conduct. After the CPFB complaint was made, I randomly received a correspondence from the Midwest City Branch Mgr (Jessica) stating that I didn't sign forms that were required to be signed when my account was open. And I had so many days to sign the forms or my account would be closed. No information was provided as to what forms that the branch manager didn't provide me when opening my account. I met with the bank president (Chad), who was rude, aggressive, dismissive and informed me that he was more concerned as to why I opened another account than he was how his branch manager opened up an account incorrectly. He then gave me (a business major/business owner over 30 years) a lesson on business structures. And, he told me I was going the wrong direction. He initially insisted I continue dealing with the same branch manager. Only after I stated I would move my accounts elsewhere did he say we would “work together,” but he never followed up. And he ignored my email and calls. Chad happens to have a sick child who he begs strangers for financial assistance for. I was a good customer who brought money into the bank. Yet, he treated me despicable. The irony. Shortly after that, a VP asked if I planned to close my account — I clearly said no. Despite that, my account was closed anyway. After the account was closed, the bank: Charged fees on a closed account Generated an overdraft on a closed account Issued a statement after closure Removed funds from my account without a clear explanation When I filed a formal complaint, the bank responded with a generic statement saying no follow-up was warranted and failed to address any of these issues. Overall, this experience showed a lack of professionalism, transparency, and proper handling of customer accounts. I would strongly caution others to pay close attention to how their accounts are handled here. If there was nothing to hide, Midfirst would provide me with a log of who has accessed my account. Guilty as charged. This is truly the "ghetto" of banks. I have several bank accounts at different banks, to separate my accounts. Hence, why I moved most of my money from my Midfirst account once I confirmed how unprofessional and incompetent the bank was.

Vio is extremely difficult to deal with. They will take over 10 business days to release your money that was transferred by ACH from one of your own accounts at another bank. They will never tell you why they do anything. They just give you vague BS answers. Employees can be rude snippy and arrogant. Their website and app are antiquated. Their website and app look like they were made in 1990. There is much better customer service oriented HYSAs out there. STAY AWAY FROM VIO!! You've been warned.

Avoid Vio Bank at all costs. What should have been a simple, straightforward online banking account has turned into a massive headache. The trouble started when a routine monthly auto-payment was suddenly declined. Why? Because Vio Bank decided to arbitrarily hold my money for over 5 days for absolutely no reason. When I called to find out what was going on, the customer service was shockingly bad. The agents were aggressive, rude, and completely unhelpful. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but that was useless too—I just got passed around and given contradictory information by different people who clearly didn’t know what they were doing. It honestly felt like they were dragging their feet on purpose just to keep my funds in their system. But here is the absolute worst part: when I finally challenged them on their terrible service and holding policies, they retaliated by completely closing my account with zero explanation. How is an institution like this allowed to operate? They treat customers like garbage, lock you out of your own money, and then shut down your account the second you ask hard questions. They act more like a shady operation than a regulated bank. Do yourself a favor and take your money somewhere else.

Website is so clunky, I had to call customer service. Customer service rep was friendly on the phone but didn't do what they said they would, resulting in an overdraft charge to me. I have been trying to close my account for literal Years and they can't seem to do it.

To put money away for high yield savings account, they're not too bad. I dumped a bunch of cash into a HYSA and a week later they lowered the rate. When I tried to move my cash into another bank paying a higher APY, Vio bank made it extremely difficult. They only allow a few thousand a day to transfer out via ACH. Their website doesn't display well on my Android phones and the paperwork required to add my son as a beneficiary made me decide to leave Vio. I paid their wire fee to get my money back. If they would've kept their APY a little higher, I would've left the cash with them since I don't move the money often. But they didn't even try to keep my business.
