Internet seems to drop a lot for no reason on a clear day! Also, with nothing using Internet some days, the usage will go up, when there was no one home.

Two technicians have been here to work on issues in eight years. The second one did have to return but completed the work. I have been much happier with it since upgrading my plan. No more buffering while watching movies! It's expensive but is more reliable than other providers in my area.

It works well when it works, but tends to disconnect off and on.

The speed is super slow, and there are unannounced outages almost every month ... usually around midnight (Pacific time.) But, I live in a remote area, with a GREAT view of five snowcapped mountains, and hence, Viasat is all I can get, so it's almost worth the aggravation.

One of the reasons we in the rural area choose Via Sat is because we have very few options. But when things go wrong having to wait over 2 weeks for resumption of service is unacceptable.

Though it is not the fastest internet service available, it more than makes up for that in reliability. My main internet service has experienced at least three outages since I’ve had Viasat installed as a backup service. Each time Viasat was already and available. Twice it has carried both my load and my wife’s load since we work from home. On one occasion my wife worked the entire day using Viasat internet with no appreciable degradation in productivity. Also we learned that when the power to our home/neighborhood goes out , so does our main internet service. Powering the home with generator does not solve that problem. But with Viasat internet all we need to do is provide stable AC power and all is good, we’re back up and running. We value reliability over all else and Viasat definitely delivers on that front.
