This lamp just doesn't put out much…
This lamp just doesn't put out much light at all. I would return it if I only had the time. They also wait till after they send it to you to let you know it contains mercury. I guess they need to keep that a secret up front so they can make sales. I will be sure to post this on other social media outlets because I think TrustPilot represents Verilux and this probably won't get made public. Do not buy Verilux lamps - BIG Disappointment!!! And too bad because I was so looking forward to it but now I need to shop for something else.

Hi JJ, Thank you for reaching out to us with your concerns! We're very sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your Heritage lamp. It does use a fluorescent bulb which contains mercury, but all fluorescent bulbs contain mercury as a necessary component. Our bulb has a very small amount; the average amount of mercury in one of our CFLs can fit on the end of a ball point pen. Also, know there is no mercury leakage or exposure unless the bulb breaks, and we provide information on our website to help with proper disposal and clean up as our customers' safety is our top priority. We want you to enjoy the benefits of Verilux light, so we would love to work with you on returning the Heritage and perhaps replace it with one of our Smartlight LED floor lamps. They use a very long-lasting LED bulb (without mercury) and also emit full spectrum light. One of our Customer Happiness Team members will reach out shortly to help you with your order and be more than happy to help you facilitate a return or replacement if you would like. Best, Cathy
