Terrible vet! Multiple negative experience! Called to book in my dog for an emergency for the same day. They told me they are fully booked for next 2 days and to call a different vet.... Also who does the ultrasound on a full stomach? Of course they didn't find anything and had to redo the ultrasound the next day for an extra charge...I was not satisfied with the services at all

Everything. Extremely over priced compared to for example Waterville vet and if it's a cat paris hill cat hospital there far cheaper by hundreds and you get treated like a person not just get treated like there personal bank and charge double sometimes triple than others I should have listened to friends and family. To cut it short they shouldn't be allowed to practice worst vet by a long shot I've ever been too. Disrespectful at the front desk a not caring attitude. Go somewhere else they'll bleed you dry have a good day and I hope no one else goes there and has the same experience

Staff at the Drexel location in Tucson, pushed services that were not needed. My pet had a laceration and could have been just sedated. They pushed for anesthesia, x2, expensive medications. There is no way to know whether anesthesia was even used. They do not have cameras in their facility. Two Thousand dollars later, after bringing my pet home, forced to leave her overnight, more billing. She began bleeding from the wound. No stapples were used, just tiny fine sutures. I was advised that I would be charged for another round of sedation to fix the bleeding. They overcharge and abuse the love that one has for their pets to bill superfluous procedures. And they can get away with it. Not the only animal hospital in Tucson, don't go here.

There really should be a negative star option for a place like this. They should be ashamed for the prices they charge. It is because of vets like them that there are so many dogs sitting in shelters. No one can afford to pay to keep them healthy. I have used vets for over 40 years and never been so appalled as I am with this business. They charge an exam fee of $121. Petco is $86 and my previous vet was only $50ish. I am supposed to go back and get the 2nd Lepto shot- they want $180 My new vet is only going to charge $52. They charge $188 for the heartworm test, my vet is going to charge $66. And its not just my new vet, my previous vet was even cheaper. Oh and it seems all vets now offer a membership that includes a lot of stuff. Petco is 24.99 a month, VCA wants $80+ a month. They should be ashamed as it only comes down to greed. The vets I've been to and will go to charge less and are still making a profit or they wouldn't be in business. So shame on you VCA for being greedy greedy greedy. SHAME!!! SHAME!!! SHAME!!!!!

Our healthy cat needed routine vaccinations and a sanitary shave. The estimate given was for $1009! I obtained estimates from 2 other local veterinary clinics.These were between $270 and $290. The actual charge for the work done in one of these clinic was $280. VCA therefore grossly overcharges compared to other clinics.We no longer will use VGA inVictoria

Went to the plantation Florida location for an updated vaccine for three of my cats. First and foremost the receptionist who booked my appointment took like 20 minutes trying to find out of I was bringing three of them which I told her several times. Then she quoted me one price which is $400 for the three of them. When I arrived I was told "Oh yea it's $400 each. Then the doc said well we can take off the parasite and the other fecel tests blah blah blah. Which was cheaper but why all the miscommunication? Why can't I just come in and get the exact price I was quoted for the service I am requesting?

Veterinarian Karen Hung at the VCA Canada Willowdale Hospital at 256 Shepard Ave. W. Toronto is killing cats for profit with impunity. On April 12, 2025 , I took a 2 year old healthy cat, a triplet, to the clinic for a minor 2 cm flesh wound behind the ear. It turned into a deadly experinece for my sweet cat Browny. Hung cleaned and flushed the tiny wound and then proceeded to give him an inappropriate, third line injection of the antibiotic CONVENIA, which stays in the body for 65 days, without discussing it with me and without my informed consent even though as per Convenia's own website, one of the potential side effects for a cat can be death. VCA is a large corporate-owned veterinary clinic, so Hung injected him with Convenia antibiotic for her own greed and personal gain and just to boost VCA's profit. Hung is playing Russian roulette with cats lives-injecting cats with a potentially deadly antibiotic Convenia without performing a test which is recommended by the manufacturer of Convenia -Zoetis. Zoetis instructs veterinarians to test the cats for an adverse reaction to penicillin before injecting the cat for Convenia to prevent death. Veterinarian Hung did not do it. My cat died in agony, bleeding from his nose 3 weeks after receiving the deadly Convenia injection on May 3rd, 2025. It should be mandatory in Canada to test cats for an adverse reaction to penicilin before injecting them with Convenia and it should be mandatory in Canada to obtain written informed permission from cat owners prior to a Convenia antibiotic injection. Willowdale Animal Hospital will try to gauge you for all they can in your moment of duress . They are more interested in maximizing profit than on providing compassionate care and they try to upsell all their services.

The ONLY reason I started going here was because my friend worked there. I've been going here for 8 years because of this. I knew she would give quality care to my pets, but i stayed going here after she changed jobs because i was lazy and she was working out of town. Dr. Gatlin (the vet here)is a rude, pushy and entitled piece of work. Not only did the other staff BULLY my friend who worked there until she had to change jobs. But they have acted like I was STUPID for asking clarifying questions. The only times i felt positive about interections with the staff was when we had to put my dog down. They were kind then; but before and after then I have been talked down to, disrespected. So many things i chose to ignore because the overall care is halfway decent. Then while I'm trying to get my ESA cat his arthritis shot, they insist that suddenly the rule has changed and I am no longer allowed to hold my ESA to comfort him while getting a shot. When they KNOW he doesnt like them and doesnt like them handling them. They had to call me into the back to remove him from the kennel because they simply COULD NOT. He is quite literially agressive once they take him away from me, but when I hold him, he is calm. So they INSIST and wrapping him up and giving him the shot while he is STRUGGLING and SCARED. I have never been so insulted as when PAIGE talked to me like i was an idiot while SNEERING at me. She sent in Shelby who was kinder as she told me the same thing. I informed them that I would be taking my cat somewhere else because this was unacceptiable to me. My cats mental health is important as well. They did not offer a bubble muzzle or anythings else. Just "you are no longer allowed to help in giving him a shot". They want me hands off and on the other side of the room. I should have let them take him back and let him bite them. I LOVE vets. I want the best for them and their staff because I understand how hard it is to be in the trade. I have never been anything other then polite and grateful to them. I have never said a cross word to them before now. But honestly, i dont think id be sad if the building burned down. They're money grabbing hustlers. The only kind one that works there is Mona and even shen she can be pushy. Everyone else needs their face shoved in mud. It's like a mean girls clique in there. No wonder they cant keep another doctor since Dr. Anderson left. Its a toxic place with toxic people. Please note. I wish no harm upon these people. They are great for people their "clique" likes and gets alone with. But if you arent liked, you can tell and that is unprofessional and unacceptiable.
