This company is a scam
This company is a scam. I bought a product called the VP-2, because they said it produces 5 L/min of oxygen. When it arrived, I found out they were lying. It only produces 1 L/min, which is medically useless. I contacted the company over and over, and they keep repeating this same ridiculous lie that *L/min" is an abbreviation of the word" level," not "liters per minute.". They scammed me out of nearly $800, and my PayPal dispute with them is still ongoing. Keep away from these scammers! They lie to sick and disabled people to sell them useless products.
Response from VARON Oxygen ConcentratorMar 24, 2025
Hi. We appreciate your feedback and understand your concerns. First and foremost, we’d like to confirm that your full refund has already been processed. Secondly, we’d like to clarify the flow settings on the VP-2. It seems there was a misunderstanding in your previous conversations with our customer service. The VP-2 is a pulse dose oxygen concentrator, which delivers oxygen in bursts when you inhale—ensuring both efficiency and effectiveness. Unlike continuous flow machines, the settings on a pulse dose device do not represent liters per minute (LPM) of continuous oxygen output. Instead, they approximate the equivalent oxygen delivery of a continuous flow machine at similar LPM levels. This is a standard across the industry, though the oxygen volume per pulse varies by manufacturer. If you compare portable concentrators of similar size and weight from other brands—even those priced 3 to 4 times higher—you’ll find that very few can deliver more than 1.5L of oxygen per minute. If you require a true 5 LPM continuous flow machine, we recommend a larger unit like our VARON Serene 5, which provides medical-grade 5 LPM oxygen. We regret any confusion and appreciate the opportunity to clarify. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
