Chair was nice except the bottom was bowed, and not sure why, but it would not set flat on work table. Before I use it, it will have to be sanded.

Had a very difficult time dealing with Van Dykes concerning a late back ordered item and the billing concerned with it. Probably will not be a return customer.

They used to take care of clients with accounts better. They have been lacking in that area over the last few years.

I remodeled my kitchen lst year and ordered some very nice pulls for Van Dykes for my cabinet drawers and doors. For weeks I was advised that my 'order was being processed'. When my carpenter was ready for the knobs I called and again was told the my order was being processed. I had to really push to get someone to find out why this was taking 8 weeks. Out of stock was the reason so I started searching for another vendor where I could get these pulls ASAP. Finally another company advises me that these are produced in Italy and likely would not ship for another 6-8 weeks so I canceled order with Van Dykes and settled for another pull that I could get in a timely manner from Top Knobs. Well 8 weeks later I get a UPS shipment for Van Dykes, they never canceled my order and I had original email to prove they had been notified that I had to cancel and the reasons why. So I called Van Dykes, I had to take these pulls to a UPS pick up and return them... no cost to me, credit card was refunded for pulls just a total hastle from start to finish. Their customer service if HORRIBLE and DECEPTIVE in so much as they avoided telling me how long the pulls were goung to be unavailable when they knew I needed them for my cabinets. I will never buy from them again... pity because they have some lovely things but you cant count on delivery or customer service follow through.
