While they are quick to take your order, returns are another issue. I was instructed to return an item to a supplier and provide the “returns specialist” with the USPS tracking number. This was done 3 weeks ago and an email and phone message to the “specialist” have gone unanswered. As of this date, I have not received a refund!

The screws are too long, and there was no place on the ordering to specify screw length. Now I have to figure out how to cut them down or buy other screws that fit the knobs! Arrrgh

1 good brass hinge the other is cockeyed and will not swing properly. Poorly made in India.

ordered knobs 2/28/18 didnt care for them and ordered others on 3/7/18 and also a shipping label to return the first ones. Never received label, had to call again for label and still no new knobs. rep stated there was a change of business location to SC.and things are delayed for several more weeks and a new calling team. Finally 3/14 got address to return original knobs and was informed there would a restocking fee of 25% that I hadn,t been made aware of at point of sale. This has been a real nightmar

The soap dish is lovely, but the supporting wire arm is so oversize that it was impossible to adapt to the tub and was damaged beyond repair in the process.

One of the three pieces of molding could not be used because it was improperly glued together. You replaced it but upon installing the other pieces I found another piece of molding that was inproperly glues or warped in the middle. I was able to use this piece for the sides of the cabinets. You really must do a better job of quality control. I do not think I would order from you again. Another piece of molding had a 3/4" black knot but I was able to work around it.

I ordered drawer pulls on January 15, 2018. When they didn't arrive I phoned Van Dyke's and they saw by tracking that the merchandise had been turned over to the Post Office in Lahaina, Maui. Said they would check into it and get back to me. I never heard from them. I called them several more times and was told the same thing but they never called me back. I called again and asked that they reship my order. They said they would check into it and resend. They never resent my order but the original order finally arrived on February 12, 2018. Very poor customer service but the merchandise was exactly what I wanted.

I wasn't planning on writing a review, mainly b/c I think they are often misleading (most people only write bad reviews and rarely does a co. get credit for good reviews. But Van Dykes sent me 2 emails asking me to review them so here goes: I rated them poorly b/c of their cust. svc., not due to their products. I needed to return an item for something else and the first annoying experience was filling out their obsolete returns form that looked like it was from 1974. They sent the new item and it was not only the wrong item, but it was packed so poorly in the box that it arrived in pieces. After many phone calls, I eventually got the right item sent. Then, they wanted me to send a photo of the broken item I never ordered. Whole process was frustrating although the products are fine. I think they need to hire more skilled people and have better quality control oversight. I get the feeling its a total dumpster show in their factory.
