Hi Roshan, we're so sorry you had this experience with us.
Thank you for alerting us to the issue with our test invites. Similar to other companies in this field, most of our tests have a specific profile, which is why you need to pass a screener in order to participate. In case you do not pass, the activities will not be shown. Can you send an email to [email protected] with the username and email address you use on Userlytics so that we can look into your account?
Thank you!

Hello Jarmila,
Thank you for taking the time to review us, however, we would like to set the record straight: The reason we didn't pay you for your session was due to the fact that you were not truthful about your location. You said in your profile that you are located in the UK, but you are in fact located in a different country.
At Userlytics, we take enormous care to ensure that our panel participants are who they say they are, as this is crucial for our clients. When we identified that you are located in a different country from what you defined in your profile, we removed your result from our client result dashboard and did not provide compensation, in accordance with the terms of service you agreed to.

This company is a joke!
This company is a joke!
I have completed a few tests with userlytics and on all occasions i have had bad experiences. Firstly, the app doesn't work properly and after completing the same test twice, spending 40 mins on each test it decides to not upload and submit the task video. I emailed the customer service and never received a response from them. This then happened again. Frustrating to say the least! I thought i would give the company the benefit of the doubt and try a third time, only to spend 30 mins on a test and have this rejected by the admin saying 'tasks not completed in full', which is definitely not the case considering it took 30 mins of my time. I have completed hundreds of tests on other platforms such as usertesting and never had a test rejected. Not a very professional company and quite frankly a waste of time. Much better testing wesbites out there who will treat their users with respect. Avoid.
In response to Userlytics reply....
I feel as though your response is a little untrue - I have had problems with every test undertaken, therefore I wouldn’t exactly call that a ‘fluke’. There is clearly issues with the app hence the bad app reviews from other users. My recent test was rejected after spending 30 minutes on it without a valid explanation. Userlytics need to spend more resources on fixing the app issues and judging users tests fairly instead of trying to defend themselves and shaming testers on trust pilot.

Hey Holly, thank you for taking the time to review us, but we think this is a bit unfair. We see that you have taken 3 studies with us in our platform and we've paid you for all three, despite the fact that one of your results didn't upload properly in our system. Moreover, you mention our support not being there for you, but once again we have to disagree with you. We see that you reached out to us three times over the course of two days, and all three times when we messaged you back, you never replied. We understand that it might be a little frustrating to not have one of your results load properly, but we feel that a fluke upload error doesn't warrant a 1 star review, especially when our support team was there for you and we paid you for your time as promised.

Legit but unreliable for testers
This is a review of my experience as tester.
Userlytics is a legit company offering UX tests to testers from around the world. In fact, this is the only site that got me a test on the same day I registered.
POSITIVE
-- Unlike most usability tests companies, they don't require an entry test.
-- They don't ask for too many personal details when you join. That is, they don't profile you as hardly as other companies do.
-- You can cancel your account any time on your own if you aren't happy with the opportunities they offer.
-- They have a nice simple app recorder for Android. You don't even have to login, because, when you get an invitation, there is a unique code with your details that you click in and log you in. Their desktop recorder is easy to use, very intuitive, and also works by code.
-- They do send you tests, and they pay for them.
-- Customer support is existent for tester and works relatively fast.
NOT SO GOOD
-- Not as many tests come to their alley as go to other allies.
-- The fact that they don't make you do an entry test tells me that their panel of testers is way inferior to any other company's panel.
-- If their recording program malfunctions, the resulting test will be unusable and you won't be paid.
-- Both their Android and Desktop recorders are sub-par, full of bugs, unreliable.
-- Customer support is really mechanic and unnerving.
-- You cannot update your PayPal email yourself, you have to contact CS and share different details by email. That is not secure, like the ABC of not putting your personal info on jeopardy. They couldn't find my file, once because I wrote from another email, which is understandable, but also when I wrote from my correct registered email.
IN SHORT
The company line is "The most advanced user testing platform". Having been a tester for them and for many other UX companies, the tagline sounds like bragging.
However, they are a legit company, so you don't have anything to fear. They do send tests and they pay for them. Their CS is not very helpful, and their recorders are bugy and unreliable, and do not benefit testers.

Hi Teo,
Thank you for sharing your comprehensive feedback about your experience as a tester with Userlytics. We appreciate your positive remarks regarding the ease of entry, app recorder functionality, and prompt customer support. Hey Jaleem, we have a series of screener questions that go before some studies to make sure our clients are getting the participants they’re looking for. If a participant is screened out before taking the real test then those screener answers aren’t used by the client. We understand you likely spent a couple minutes on the screener portion, but we confident that if you come back again to another study, you’ll be able to take the next test. Thanks for helping us make the world more user friendly :)
