****Update****
As of today August 10th, 2026, our panels are still not working. We have battery backup and the battery will not stay blue or hold a charge. We've contacted Sunpower every week for the last 5 weeks and they've made appointments for someone to come out to fix the issue with our battery and every appointment no one shows up. Its been six month now and we have never used the solar panels. It just a $70,000 decorative ornament sitting in our back yard, that we have to pay back on top of our high light bill. We're seeking legal help.
I would give a negative 10 if I could. We started our install with Sunpower/Blue Raven the very last week in January or 1st week in February 2026. Its June 30th,2026 and our panels are still not installed properly. We are not using them and never have because they are not installed properly. They told us that 12 panels were not working and they ordered 12 replacement panels. That was over 2 months. We still don't have them to this day. One panel cracked on the end. One guy came out and said he was going to order it and it should be a few days. Its been over a month, no panel. Then they sent another crew out a few weeks later and they took the broken panel off. We got a text from SunPower/Blue Raven, stating they would be out on Friday June 26th 2026 and again, no one showed up. As of today, June 30th, 2026, we still have one panel missing and the panels are not turned on for use. Again, it has been since the first week in February when the work was started and they are still not finished. The loan company wants us to start making payments, but we have no service with the panels. In other words, we're still paying a high light bill, and now the bill for the solar panels are due. The worst company ever. I truly regret using these people. Please find someone else to purchase solor panels from.

I am extremely disappointed and…
I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with the service provided by Blue Raven Solar & Sun Power. It has been over eight months since my solar panels were installed, and the entire process has been a nightmare of constant delays, technical errors, and poor communication.
The company made several critical mistakes on my DTE interconnection application, including listing the wrong equipment, which forced a complete restart of the approval process months after installation. Even after receiving Permission to Operate (PTO), the system is not producing solar energy as expected, and the company has failed to complete the setup in the Enphase app.
Furthermore, they have been completely unresponsive regarding promised compensation for these extensive delays and a $1,500 referral bonus.
I strongly advise anyone considering Blue Raven Solar & Sun Power to look elsewhere. Their lack of accountability and technical oversight is unacceptable. I am now forced to seek legal counsel to resolve these outstanding issues.

Hi Karthik, we’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration. While as-built updates can occasionally be necessary after installation due to material availability or equipment substitutions, we recognize the delays this caused. Our records show your Enphase monitoring is set up and your system is producing energy, and we’ve opened a work order to investigate your reporting concerns. We’re also unable to locate any record of a promised compensation payment or referral bonus. Please contact our Customer Care team at 855-205-2530 so we can review your concerns further. - Katie G.

Production Guarantee Issue (4+ Months Unresolved)
Tl;DR: If you value your time, mental health, and anything that resembles "customer service," DO NOT PURCHASE YOUR SYSTEM FROM THIS COMPANY
Over the past four months, we have been trying to resolve an underperforming solar system with Blue Raven/Sunpower and have experienced some of the worst customer service we’ve ever encountered.
In November 2025, we contacted our sales consultant after noticing that our system appeared to be underproducing based on the Enphase Enlighten monitoring app. The consultant reviewed the numbers and agreed the system appeared to be underperforming. He explained that if the system wasn’t producing, Blue Raven/Sunpower would either install additional panels at no cost to get the system within 10% of the promised output or financially compensate us. He directed us to contact post-install support to start the process.
Support initially agreed the production looked low and scheduled a technician visit for December 1. However, we never received any follow-up. When I called to ask about the results, I was told the system was “working as expected,” but no explanation or data was provided. When I questioned how that conclusion was reached given our production numbers, the representative dismissively said that just because I disagreed didn’t mean they needed to do anything.
Later that same day we received a text from someone in the work order department stating the appointment had actually been cancelled because the system was “overproducing for the month.” This contradicted what we had just been told and raised questions about whether the technician visit ever happened at all.
After clarifying that the issue was annual production relative to the contract guarantee, a Low Production Inquiry (LPI) was supposedly opened in December.
Since then, resolving this issue has required constant follow-up from us. We have repeatedly been promised callbacks that never happened, spent long periods on hold trying to reach supervisors, and received conflicting information from different representatives. At one point we were even told we were “not eligible,” despite earlier confirmation that an inquiry had been opened.
As of today, more than four months later, we still have no answers and no resolution.
The most frustrating part is that our production numbers clearly show the system is underperforming relative to the contract guarantee. Multiple 18-month periods fall 17–24% below the expected production, which should trigger corrective action according to the terms of the agreement.
The pre-installation experience with Blue Raven was smooth and professional, which makes this situation even more disappointing. Unfortunately, once the system was installed, getting meaningful support became extremely difficult.
At this point we are simply asking Blue Raven/Sunpower to review the production data and honor the guarantee outlined in our contract. Instead, we’ve spent months chasing basic communication.
Response from SunPower, Inc.Apr 3, 2026
Hi Bri, thank you for the feedback. We’re sorry for the frustration, conflicting information, and lack of follow-through you’ve experienced while trying to get answers about your system’s performance. We understand how disappointing it is to spend this much time seeking clarity and still feel unheard.
Your LPI is currently under internal review and has been escalated for further evaluation. At this time, we are awaiting a review from our design team to better understand the cause of the performance concern and determine the appropriate next steps.
Once that review is complete, we will provide a more detailed update regarding any findings and what actions may be needed moving forward. We understand this process has taken longer than it should have, and we appreciate your continued patience while this review is being completed. - Katie G.

Almost 2 years of troubleshooting…
We purchased a new home in 2024 equipped with a SunPower solar system. Initially, it worked for a few months, but since late 2024, it has failed to produce power. We've had multiple SunPower technicians attempt to diagnose and fix the problem, but each service appointment is an extremely lengthy process. Scheduling takes at least one to two months, and there is a persistent lack of communication and coordination between visits. Each time, it feels as though the technicians have to start troubleshooting from scratch. To date, they have replaced our microinverters three times, installed faulty ones, and even replaced the monitoring system twice--soon to be a third time. I am consistently left chasing them for updates and pushing to get rescheduled. I am repeatedly told the case is being escalated, but this only prolongs the delays. As we near mid-2026, our solar system has been non-functional for almost two years. It is especially frustrating because no other homes in our community have encountered these issues. The only positive aspect is that the technicians themselves are consistently professional and courteous, though they appear hampered by internal restrictions. Overall, SunPower's service has been a significant financial and logistical burden, and we cannot recommend them based on our experience. We hope to receive compensation for the last two years, but that has not been guaranteed yet.

Hi Anna, thank you for taking the time to share. We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating it must be to deal with ongoing service issues for such an extended period.
Your case has involved several service visits as our teams have worked to diagnose and resolve the system concerns. We’re glad to hear that the technicians you’ve interacted with have been professional and courteous, and we appreciate you recognizing their efforts.

Definitely not what I was promised
Definitely not what I was promised still receiving power bills just like it would be if I didn’t have solar the absolute biggest waste of money that I have ever spent so not happy
Response from SunPower, Inc.Mar 2, 2026
Hi Jesse, thank you for taking the time to share. We’re sorry to hear you’re feeling this way and that’s certainly not the experience we want for our customers. After reviewing your system’s performance, it is currently producing at approximately 102% of its lifetime estimated production, which means it’s actually exceeding projections and operating very well. That’s a strong indicator that the system itself is performing as designed.
We understand how frustrating it can feel if your savings don’t align with expectations. We’d be happy to review your usage, billing, and production data with you to better explain what’s happening and explore any potential options. Please feel free to reach out to us directly at 385-269-2947 so we can take a closer look together. - Katie G.

2 years after the install
2 years after the install, multiple leaks thru the roof. Had a brand new roof before the solar install.
Called blue raven. They said their installers are private contractors and they dont warranty install work.
Great!
Response from SunPower, Inc.Mar 2, 2026
Hi Alexandru, thank you for sharing. We’re sorry to hear about the concerns regarding roof leaks, especially with a newer roof. After reviewing your account, we did not find any previous documentation noting roof leak concerns, so we have opened a new work order to ensure this is formally addressed.
We’d like to clarify a misconception as well. While we sometimes partner with qualified installation crews, we absolutely stand behind our workmanship. Whether the installation was completed by an internal team or a subcontracted crew, our warranties remain in place and we honor them accordingly. Your concerns are important to us, and we are committed to thoroughly investigating this matter and determining the appropriate next steps. We appreciate the opportunity to address it and will remain in communication as we work toward a resolution. - Katie G.

I still pay a power bill
I still pay a power bill and I have found out three other solar companies you guys have charged me $10000.00. More than they would have I actually hate the solar industry now
Response from SunPower, Inc.Feb 13, 2026
Hi Japheth, thank you for sharing. We’re sorry to hear you’re feeling this way. That’s certainly not the experience we want for our customers. After reviewing your system data, it’s currently producing at approximately 95% of its lifetime estimated production, which is a very strong performance indicator. That level of production shows your system is operating efficiently and very close to projections.
We understand that overall value and pricing are important considerations. Costs can vary between companies based on equipment quality, warranty coverage, installation standards, and long-term service support. If you'd like, we'd be happy to review your production and answer any questions at [email protected]. - Katie G.

Very disappointed
The installation crew was wonderful. The inspection crew in utah and here were fabulius. I dont mean for them to sound incompetent with this 1 star.
The original crew in Utah did terrible because they didnt know what they were doing. Some of my panels dont get any sun. They are not installed at all according to the original plan I was given. One panel was supposed to go over a vent in the roof! Unbelievable incompetence.
The salesman. Andrew fink, ghosted me even though he promised to be my link to customer support. I wish I never met him.
The rest of communication with blue raven or sunpower is deplorable. I spent several months of stress not sure if the project would ever get done with almost no communication from the company. I regret meeting Andrew, have a system that barely produces any energy, and dread paying 40 years for something very much different than promised. I could never tell anyone to use this company and feel bad for the people actually doing the install
Response from SunPower, Inc.Feb 6, 2026
Hi Mark, thank you for taking the time to share. We’re sorry to hear about your frustration with the system layout and communication, and we understand how stressful that can be. Our team is actively monitoring your project each week, and we will reach out as soon as there is an update while we await Permission to Operate. If you’d like to discuss your concerns in more detail, please reach out to us at [email protected] so we can look into this further. - Katie G.
