The purchase system is sneaky and will force you to buy unnecessary services unless you opt-out of every little checkbox they add.

Hi Ryan,
I completely understand how frustrating it is to feel like extra options are being bundled into a checkout process. Transparency is very important to us, and it isn't our intention to make our system feel "sneaky."
Thank you for bringing this up. I shared your feedback with our web and product teams so they can review our current website configurations and checkout flows to ensure options are clear.
I’ve also sent you a request for more information via Trustpilot so we can get your account details. Once you share those, I’ll have a member of our team reach out to you directly outside of this platform to make sure everything on your account is set up exactly how you want it.
I appreciate your time and your candid feedback.
Thank you,
Megan

OVH Support Very Bad!
I am an old customer of OVHcloud US and have been using a dedicated server before.
Recently, I planned to apply for a public cloud machine quota, but their support has been working for a week and still hasn't approved my request.
After spending hundreds of dollars for more than half a year, they asked me to upload sensitive personal information.
Very bad experience, I will not choose their solution
Timely remediation, I give the rating recovery one star.

Please let us know if you are not able to order with the new quotas.

Prices are Fine, Support is Abhorrent
Prices are ok, web-based management tools are minimal, selection is mediocre, and support is horrendous.
Every time I open a support ticket about some aspect of the platform that is factually broken. It doesn't matter whether it's a cosmetic UI bug (logging in spits a bunch of text at you instead of a heading and a paragraph), poor invoicing that makes cost control difficult (why include UUIDs, that would be stupid), a technical mistake that makes doing work impossible without workarounds (the VNC console for instances doesn't work unless you open it in a new tab), or an architectural design decision that makes it impossible to adhere to best practices (just give your users unlimited control to use object storage!) the support team is dismissive of the issue, lies that it's on the docket and hasn't been pushed to production yet, or is downright hostile.
Most recent example was asking that invoices include the UUIDs of resources so people can do cost control. Here are examples of actual comments made by the support tech after I asked them to escalate the feedback:
there is also nothing to "escalate" if you review your invoice which I have shared with you, and compare it to your two public cloud projects that you have, you will be able to pin point what instance is what.
And after I repeated the request:
"Unfortunately there is nothing to escalate, you are refusing to review your invoice and compare to your active services. I have provided you all the facts that you refuse to ignore."
And after I repeated the request, again:
WHat exactly is it that you are looking for? The invoice clearly says what you have been using. For example:
volume.snapshot consumption
That is literaly what the product is called. Whatever it is inside he snapshot thats for you to find out. We dont name the item, "Wedding pictures snapshot consumption" why? because we dont have access to your data at all.
So you will need todo your own research, open up your own instances and see what you were using them for. At this moment it appears you haven't even opened up the invoice I shared with you, which you can find in your manager as well.
At this point I asked that the tech give me the name and contact information for their manager. The ticket has been sitting in Open for three days without another response.
If I talked this way to one of my customers at work, I would only be able to do it twice before getting fired. If people like this were removed from their support team, the company would probably be 4 stars since even though their offerings aren't expansive (the global platform that doesn't serve Americans had more) and the management interface isn't great, they are priced well.

Locked out of account, cannot get help
Trying to find help when locked out of my account is next to impossible. Support page only directs you to the Control Panel or Twitter... I can't login to Control Panel, so how can I create a Support Request to regain access to the Control Panel when I cannot login to the Control Panel. Expecting people to have a Twitter is not a good alternative, how about something everyone has, like an email address?
Edit for more information: the website is very generic, and directs to email validation at ovhcloud.com... it's not until posting a review here that they bothered to do anything, only to send a very generic "that is for europe, you need to contact the US" without any guidance on *HOW*. Email said "call your local support group" as a resolution. So not only did it take me posting a review to get a response, but the response gave me NO resolution and no direction on how to get ahold of the right group. The US site expects people to have Twitter accounts, though the EU subsidiary just blindly says to "call". This is not an acceptable way of doing business.... plus side (and why I bumped up to 2 stars), I got a response in a couple hours from the US employees, after spending way too long trying to figure out how ("Contact us" directs to sales .. with an invalid chat link, support tickets require being able to login to the control panel, otherwise they direct to twitter [why not email???]), rather than silence for 2 days like the EU folks did... but it's still not acceptable to have no way of getting help. I won't be doing business with OVH again, that's for sure.

good vps's/dedi servers but not good…
good vps's/dedi servers but not good because they ban ur server for running a vpn as when someone sends a internal ddos it causes a internal ddos abuse and heres info on how it works
Internal DDoS
What is it?
- Malicious hosts and victim live on the same network
- Attacker uses the malicious devices to send a DoS or DDoS attack to the victim
- Typically less of a focus to no focus at all on DDoS protection and mitigation for LAN traffic
How it works
With this approach, the devices are typically servers either bruteforced or purchased by the attacker. From there, the attacker infects them all with software that will connect back to a botnet Command and Control (CNC) server.
After all of the devices have been configured for DDoS usage, the attacker will launch an attack from the CNC server. It works in the same way as a traditional botnet attack, except the slaves are not generic devices; they are hand-picked in order to bypass mitigation efforts on external traffic.
Whereas DDoS mitigation efforts have concentrated on how to properly manage external traffic that is arriving, even large hosting providers do not have systems put in place to stop floods from traversing other devices on the same network.
