Unsold.comReviews of unsold.com

unsold is untrusted website, our booking got cancel before 2 day of arrival, now they are not reachable, my money also got stuck and reservation is also cancelled at hotel. They have not even update the cancellation.

I booked a hotel for my vacation through Unsold's new membership program and I really wish I never even signed up. The hotel room that I booked was supposed to be in the adults-only area of an otherwise huge chain hotel. I booked this room specifically because it was in an adults-only wing and because this type of room had access to a separate adults-only pool. Unsold's price was about 20% below what these rooms normally go for and they also gave me $50 off as a new member, so it was a good deal, however it was still a significant amount of money for only 3 full days ($800). Since I read mixed reviews about Unsold's services, I was a little worried and about 4-5 days after booking, I decided to call the hotel itself and ask if they had my booking in their records. They did not. I emailed Unsold and asked them what tha is about and thus began a weeks long correspondance with zero results. Turns out there was a "mapping issue" (whatever that means) on their part which put me in the wrong (cheaper general) part of the hotel. When I asked them to cancel the reservation for me because the site gives me no such option, they pretty much ghosted me. There is NOTHING good about Unsold and they are not even trying to help. I am desperately fighting to get my money back before the free cancellation deadline in 5 days. I really want everyone to know: NEVER book through Unsold. EDIT: I got my money back the day I posted this review. They called me like an hour after I posted it and told me they just initiated the refund and really need me to take the review down. I told them I'm not going to take it down and they can give me all the travel credit they want, I'm never booking through them again. And now it looks like they are out of business. For anyone looking for a way to contact them, you could try support(at)unsold.freshdesk.com or this number: +1 929 590 5991 Not sure it'll work but that's the number they called me from.

I have a booking of tomorrow when i called to hotel they saying booking is cancelled unsold is jot picking my call nor replying

We are currently stuck in a city 4 hours from home. Our hotel doesn't have our booking. Unsold has had hours to fix this. It's now 7pm. My kids are tired, wet (we were swimming assuming we could shower at the hotel.) We just keep being told to wait. I don't know if we will have to drive home at midnight or what. We are literally waiting in the streets. I am so upset.

I used this site for the first time. Firstly I didn't realise that clicking the " see hotels" button resulted in an instant debit to my credit card. The site said a full refund available if you don"t like the hotels you can have a full refund. The three hotels were average and the pricing wasn't that great for those hotels- all on main road. At the time of writing, they are avoiding a refund that I have requested. They are trying to push me to another city, transfer to someone else. This is unethical and poor customer service ( and illegal) I will have to go through the formal channels to get my money back. Beware- dodgy company Note I’ve since had a reply from the company advising a credit is being processed. Can I suggest if someone requests a refund as per your policy- just refund them. This wasn’t a good first experience

I bought the deal (5 nights) for Santorini on 4th June 2021 and started looking for the hotels, This is what I found : There is only 1 hotel option for the month of July that too for one week. No options for the Month of August till mid September. and Only 3 Hotels in the month of September from 19 onwards untill 2022. ALL these Hotels are either on the east coast or without Caldera views with one exception for the month of october. We really wanted to travel in September but now I am stuck with only three hotels to select from which are away from popular cities and Santorini views. Its nowhere close to the advertisement they have posted on the site and the photos shown on the deal page. However, all the hotels suggested do have 4+ rating on tripadvisor. I would not suggest anyone to buy the deals unless you are not concerned with hotel's location and the date on which you want to travel, which could mean postponing it by a month or so. After spending lot of time and energy we are unsure of what to do with our reservation at this point

1) Once you are registered/paid, you are locked in to a specific location. Lots of dates are blocked off. What is available is not 4-5 star. It would be ideal if one can look at different locations given there is nothing available for most dates. 2) the pages do not load. I had to try many days. After many different re-boots & browser changes, two Best Western inns come up for Santa Barbara. I could book the, for the same rate on other websites without paying. 3) There was no four star hotels. 4) I contacted unsold for a full refund, the customer service has pestered me with lengthy emails about how I should keep trying. It merely wants to keep me in. I do not wish to do business. The CS still sent a lengthy email saying I should visit my "own "unique" booking page that we have generated specifically foryou". I clicked on the link it sent in the response email thinking maybe they were offering something better. No, there those 2 Best Western hotels I was seeing before. what a waste of time. Stay away, instead look at other websites where you do not need to pay to take a look at what is available and can book hotels for the same price.

I charged my card for the opportunity to book a Hawaii vaca during the next 24 months. After reading refund policy, realized you can’t get a refund after you book dates and find out what hotel you have. I have spent the better part of the day trying to get a my card refunded. I keep getting “cancelled ticket” responses to my email requests for help. Stay away! I have provided email and paperwork to trustpilot to prove my claims. They have been verified—see top.
