They are the exact reason people shop from Amazon over trying to shop local. Their customer service is terrible and the only time the supervisor responds is to respond to a poor review. UG you can keep the $5 future UG credit that you consider a "courtesy" for making me have to drive 68 miles round trip and delay my road trip to pick up the package as l will NOT EVER be shopping with UG again and l will NOT be recommending your company to anyone.

Bought an anniversary gift for my husband and paid for the expedited shipping. My order status sat in “Preparing” for a week before finally being updated to “Shipped” on the same day it was supposed to arrive. I contacted customer service the day after it was supposed to arrive and they told me that the artist had not shipped the order yet, but due to the way the system is coded, the status is changed to “Shipped” when the artist begins working on the order. This is incredibly misleading. This has been a horrible experience and I will NEVER shop with Uncommon Goods again.

This company is so fishy... Placed an order and thankfully, decided to check the status of it, just to notice that my order was canceled with no warning. I contacted customer service, just so they can tell me that it was the system that canceled the order for being "fraudulent" but yet I never received any email saying anything of this... also... "the order was canceled by the system" but didn't refunded me my money. Beware, they are trying to scam you.

I paid for 2 business day delivery, I was supposed to have my package on the 19th. It is now the 28th and I still do not have it and wont for another week. It was shipped through UPS who is going to be delivering to USPS. After my first conversation with customer service I have received no replies or follow up. I've reached out about this and nothing. They do not care one bit about the customer. Buy elsewhere!!! That first conversation by the way was them telling me by their standards it was still early since they considered after the 29th to be late!!! Being delivered over a week late is early for them. So now that it's going to be 2 weeks I wonder if that'll be considered on time??

For the SECOND time, I paid extra for an order to be shipped expedited to the tune of $18.95. Both times the gifts were to arrive the day before a birthday, which the site assured me would happen. Both times not ONLY did the gifts not get there the day before, or even the next day in time for the birthday, one never arrived at all and we were informed it was backordered AFTER IT NEVER SHOWED and this time the gift hasn't even arrived yet (due on the 11th and now it's the night of the 14th). There wasn't even a heads up notification and there is no reply from customer service as it's the weekend. WILL NOT USE AGAIN, used to love this place.

Unresponsive customer service and inability to communicate with artisans directly. How complicated can it be to communicate that you want your item to ship later rather than sooner -- I do it all the time with Etsy shop owners/artists. Customer service said it would work with me to contact the artist, but did not. Additionally and even more troubling - how could a personalized item be created, and shipped ( too far in advance) without an opportunity to proof for errors?! This is a common practice with any other personalization vendor. I have no idea what my dad will receive for Father's Day when he receives it two to three weeks in advance. I will stick with Etsy in future. I can communicate directly with artists, proof items before they ship and also provide order specifications, such as -- if this personalized item is ready in advance, please ship it to arrive the between June x-x.

I paid the shipping costs for an order to arrive no later than 5/21. My husband's birthday is on 5/24. I checked the UPS tracking and it is arriving on 5/26. I will not have a gift for my husband on his birthday now. I am incredibly disappointed in uncommongoods. Customer service rep. "Jamaica Lewis" could care less and actually tried to blame UPS when in fact, uncommongoods are the ones who shipped the package late. Refunded shipping costs as if that makes up for being empty handed on my husbands birthday. Disgraceful way to do business.

I received a gift from Uncommon Goods from someone living in another state. It was a gift I was unable to use, so I opted to return the item to UncommonGoods and trade it for an item I can use. I found the website difficult to use as the shipping information had no order number required to fill out the return information. When I went to the "Chat line" and posted my question, I was inundated with printed information that had no bearing on what I was asking for. I finally got through to a service representative that told me to enter the "order number". I repeated again that I had no order number. The customer service rep finally got to the bottom of that and I filled out all of the information to get a free shipping label and it was no where to be found. There was a button to click on that said it would print the shipping label, and the page was empty. I was also told on the same page that the shipping label would be attached to the email confirmation I would receive shortly for my return. There was no attachment to the email when it came, and in the meantime I had several surveys I was suppose to fill out on the "customer service I had received' for online help trying to get the shipping label. OVER Two hours later, I had finally had the return item boxed and ready for the USPS. Get this, in order to use the credit to get another item, I have to wait 2-3 weeks for the return to be processed, and get my email with a credit so I can order that item. I would not recommend this site to anyone after my experience!
