Do NOT order from this company. I paid for expedited shipping which meant it would arrive in 2 - 4 days in time for a online gift party I am having. Instead it is 9 days, three days after my event. They cannot ship a replacement overnight. How is that possible in 2021?? If they keep blaming the delay on USPS, maybe they should consider another means of shipping.

Uncommon Goods has the worst customer service. My order never arrived and each time I called they kept extending the deadline for arrival. They contract shippers but apparently have no way of contacting their shippers (per 2 different reps I spoke with). I requested a refund one and a half weeks ago and am getting the same run around. Wait, wait, wait....... do not order from this company. You can find the same products elsewhere. This is response to uncommon goods reply. You missed the point. USPS was not the problem. YOUR contracted shipper Pitney Bowes never passed the order to USPS. YOUR customer service claims not to be able to reach out to your contracted shippers. YOUR company has very poor business practices.

On December 3rd I placed 2 orders: Order # 1390.... Order # 1390.... I was told they would be delivered NLT December 18th. On December 16th, I was first told, "they had been shipped, but, were stuck and would not be delivered before Christmas." I was then told, "They were on back order until the end of January. I asked for a REEFUND on both because they were Christmas gifts for a 12/23 family Christmas get together. I was told I would be REFUNDED in 3-5 business days. My REFUND confirmation numbers are: 217xxx 217xxx I had to rebuy all of the gifts from somewhere else and replace them all. On 12/21 I received an email stating that one of my gifts would be delivered after Christmas! And it thanked me for NOT asking for a REFUND. I spoke with Sandra B and was told that it was an AUTO generated email and that I was DEFINITELY going to receive a REFUND. On 12/23, I was told by Madeleine that I would receive my REFUND. On 12/24 I received a refund on Order # 1390..., but, NOT on order # 1390.... I am still short the $72.31. Today, 12/29/2020, I received BOTH BOXES!!! I CANCELLED this order and DO NOT want to pay for it since I had to rebuy everything! Now, they are saying I have to pay for both boxes since delivered! Do NOT order from this company. Complete scam!

Almost 3 weeks have passed since my order, and almost 1 week after date range of estimated delivery, and still no sign of order, lied to repeatedly by customer service as to status, story always changing, blame put on its shipping agent and/or USPS, never any acknowledgement that company itself is to blame as it doesn’t seem to know where the shipment is or when it will arrive. Don’t expect to get what you order. If I could give no stars I would.

Over the past two years, I have had to call in my orders four times because of a bug in their website (I signed up to be a perks member--big mistake). That's about 2 hours of phone time. Even though I support the company's mission, I simply don't have time to deal with this incompetence.

Ordered a ring on Dec 1 from Uncommon Goods. Tracked my order, and on Dec 8 it updated to "Preparing the Package". It remained in this status until December 16 when I called to follow up. I was informed that there was an issue with the USPS and the item had not been shipped. The suggested remedy from the customer service rep I spoke to recommended cancelling the current order and that the item would be shipped with expedited service that day. I received the cancellation email and awaited the confirmation email for the new order number so that I could track it. That email never came, and as I was suspicious of the competence of this company, I followed up with another phone call on December 17. The customer representative I spoke to informed me that no new order/shipment was made as the item was now on back order. Considering this was intended to be a Christmas gift I was more than a little disappointed. The fact that the actions that I agreed to were not completed by the company AND there was no communication back to me saying that the agreed upon remedy was not going to happen is very poor customer relations. I have zero faith in this company and will not be ordering through them again in the future and I recommend others not to do so either.

I ordered an item in November and it has not shipped yet. Customer service says I should have gotten it two days ago but post office has not received. Total disappointment. Now I’m going to have to dispute their charges and get my money back

12/22/2020 UPDATE: Despite the reply below saying they’ll reach out they have not yet by email or phone. So they’re just replying to these reviews saying someone is reaching out by email then they don’t. So I have called customer service twice in two days and spoke to very nice people who could do nothing for me. The last person said a manager would call and they haven’t. No refund yet and the person I spoke with couldn’t even tell me how much I was getting back or send an email to verify the return confirmation with itemized numbers (I received unspecific return confirmations with no items or return prices listed). Total I’ve spent over 3 hours on hold or with a service person with no luck. I’m beyond upset but I’m just planning on letting them keep my ~$146. Not worth my time. I love the curated gifts on uncommon goods so I have tried several times to shop through them both professionally and personally. I have never had a good shipping or delivery experience. It seems they have a terrible inventory management system as items successfully placed for orders (and money debited from my accounts) no longer are in stock but only after I call several weeks later. For a corporate order they had inventory issues and we ended up going directly to the vendor of the item and had zero issues. Nobody can tell me why tracking numbers are issued but orders are not filled. By the time I called back over two weeks later most items were out of stock so could not reissue. I had to call back to get my money back but they wanted me to just wait to see if they showed up... with no tracking number. Everyone has been nice but they have no clue what they’re doing and no guidance or infastructure to handle much volume at all. A real shame.
