So far I have been quite pleased with the service. Shipping time for the hardware was reasonable, and reaction time has been great from the service folks. I've changed my programming twice without any issues and the changes took place within the timeframe indicated by the website.

Quick response to initial inquiries and have had a couple of teething problems however they acted quickly and the problems were resolved. Same-day response to e-mails and always answered the telephone.

It’s a difficult review as this company can be very helpful. But however this stops immediately if you wish to cancel your contract. They give you no warning when the contract is coming to its renewal except when’s its past the yearly cancellation deadline, and they seem to deliberately only send you a payment bill when your outside the payment window so that you can not cancel. Last year I contacted them and received several different emails from different email addresses including no-reply at marctheshark.happyfox, instead of a professional business email, which raise alarm bells. (All there emails are Gmail) Currently again this year we received notification to pay the 200 euro charge to manage our account. We have refused as once again they send a bill notification after the period where you can cancel your contract. When I asked they became sarcastic and rude as before. This time since I no longer work, I said no I was unable to pay this and advised, again we received sarcasm back, although I asked last year to end the contract they refused they said I should have asked again as I accepted the forced new contract on me last year. I emailed and several weeks later I got a response saying I was still using the card and I need to pay, even tho they had not responded with a return address which is based at a flat in Spain. Now they threatening credit collections, I’ve already approached the local advice who have stated they have no right to do what they have done and should give enough notice prior to the end of contract.(legal requirement in the Netherlands) So if they send credit collections I will contact sky with the sky card number and take my complaint up with them - And I have no doubt that as per the norm for this company they will respond with sarcasm and place all the blame on the customer. Let’s hope they changed there email from Marctheshark - as you can see from another persons review, they pulled the same trick on other customers before, trying to extort money out of them for there yearly service fee In NL Companies are required by law (the Dutch “Wet van Dam”) to let you end your subscription with a notice period of one month. But this only applies after one year has passed (which it has). The same goes for all kinds of Companies are required by law (the Dutch “Wet van Dam”) to let you end your subscription with a notice period of one month. But this only applies after one year has passed. The same goes for all kinds of subscriptions, like magazines and newspapers, TV, and fitness subscriptions etc. subscriptions etc. - Based on the response below. Apart from breach of the Data Protection Act by revealing personal information about its customer (which I will be getting in contact with Trustpilot about) As you can see by their response, they don't want to deal with the situation, they just can only attack and be sarcastic as they have done in the past with other reviewers. They operate in a sneaky manner in relation to their contracts. People who read this review, and previous reviews, can make their own decisions up. Because yes they do bend over backwards to help you, that's in relation to threats and legal threats if you dare not want to continue your contract and pay the 200 euro yearly fee.

He was kind enough to write " this company can be very helpful" - thank you. Yes, we run a professional business, and yes, we provide excellent customer support. We bend over backwards for our customers. I went through the emails, and there was no rudeness or sarcasm. We explained time and again the situation and contractual obligations. This customer claimed to have lost his job and even admitted to a mental illness to get out of our request to pay the outstanding bill. Refer to the Email dated August 23 from this customer, and I quote directly: „I am bipolar, so my mental health is not good, and I forget. It a nuisance.“ I want the Trustpilot visitor to note that the reviews from our customers are over the moon and generally very well. The 1-star reviews come from customers upset that we asked them to pay for the service when the contract is renewed. It saddens me to see these people not have their act together and then get extremely upset and emotional when we ask them to pay an overdue payment. Suppose this was overlooked, and now a customer got into a new period which causes a further charge. In that case, this is upsetting, but why lash out and give bad reviews when it is the customer’s obligation and responsibility? Last year, I explained our ticket system to Mr Wilson and why the email sender may look peculiar on some mail services. He accepted, paid and continued the service with us. This year, it was something else. He threw Dutch law at us, which does not apply because our contract applies Spanish law. Then it was that he had lost his job and could not pay. Then it was mental illness. He would send the same email three times in a row. I sat down and meticulously replied to a lengthy email he sent to explain every single complaint he had and what arguments we had and asked every time politely to pay. I finally closed the ticket and told him we must send it to debt collection. His reaction? This review is on Trustpilot. Too bad that he did not forget this time and continued to be - in his own words - a nuisance.

Shame on you Mr Baker, other professional businesses will never address a review like this, but I am not surprised seeing this is your usual. I paid 179 for the router and another 99 which I wasn't aware of, so what service did I use and didn't pay for that gave you the right to refer to me as a thief and fraudster??? I simply don't want your service anymore doesn't make me a thief and a fraudster. You can't even be truthful in public. I wish the emails could be shared on here as emails can't lie but you sure can. Please do not go near him or her, as they seem to be a one lonely man affair. Sent an email in 2020 to ask about the Uk TV as I was abroad at the time, they suggested a VPN router for 179, did not mention any contract or subscription, one year after they emailed me aggressively to pay 99 for service, I asked I wasn’t aware this was a contract or subscription, they were really arrogant in their emails unlike other proper businesses, I paid them. July 2022 I got another email to pay for another year, this time I asked them to cancel the service, one the router stopped working and two I moved back to the UK, they said the deadline to cancel was past, this time I won’t give in, as I know I did not enter into a contract or wasn’t aware from the start it was a subscription, and then their true nature finally unraveled, they started threatening with debt collection agency, I told them what I used I paid for, why is it so difficult to cancel and why are they desperate to extort me???? They kept threatening me, I read the terms and conditions they directed me to, the only service that had cancellation period was sky, other services states please contact us, nothing stating vpn service has a cancellation period, so the terms and conditions aren’t clear and are misleading. Long story short they started harassing me, called me a thief and a fraudster for using the service and not paying when clearly I paid for what I used, I simply don’t want your service anymore and they called me a thief and a fraudster and that I am a waste of time. I have contacted my lawyers as I won’t let it go. I am back in the UK and so I will go all the way to ensure you do not treat people like trash and your dodgy business would be exposed. Even sky do not call their customers names, their terms and conditions are clear and even get sent to customers by email. So everyone stay away from them. To actually realize I gave them positive reviews before makes me sick as I may have misled other people.

We do not know a "Mr Baker" - this lady seems upset and confused. When we asked her for payment for her contract with us, the lady displayed similar behavior. It alternated between threats, always the same questions, untrue claims and confused emails. We answered everything calmly and kindly several times. But read our statement yourself. This lady is using our service without paying, and this will, of course, have legal consequences. A final reminder is already in the mail, and that then triggered this rating. Very shameful and unnecessary, such behavior. 1. Our services renew automatically if not cancelled. It is, in fact, in our terms and conditions that all customers agree to when ordering from us. Many services auto-renew and move into the next service period. How you would call the simple demand to be paid for a service provided „extortion“ is beyond me. 2. Of course, the annual service fee is mentioned. This was one of her many emotional and aggressively brought forward arguments trying not to pay. We do not trick our customers into anything. Everything is laid out and explained openly. All services that have a renewal fee show that on their order page. 3. She was upset she had overlooked the deadline to cancel our service and got furious, trying all sorts of arguments to not pay us, including threatening us with her lawyers. She refused to pay and started a discussion which was ok until the questions were repeated and repeated when everything had been calmly explained in a friendly manner more than once before. It was there and then that I asked her to stop wasting our time. She could pay or save time for her lawyers because we would not accept to provide a service and not be paid for it. She escalated, and she threatened us with a bad review on Trustpilot - so here we go… I guess this is her letting off steam. 4. I responded to the Trustpilot threat that this service is for customers to review a service or product. When you use a service without paying for it, you are not a customer but a fraudster or a thief. I stand by that. Technically she should not be allowed to write a review, considering she did not pay for the service. 5. There were no threads either. We simply informed her that this will be escalated legally and go to debt collection. And it did. The debt was sent in the mail last week. In September, this will be handed over to our debt collection agency.
