Our team sent three emails over 30 days to inform and remind our community of the recent changes, explaining the reason behind said changes. Your website will still be live under your free subdomain provided by Ucraft. However, you'll have to pay a small fee to reconnect your custom domain. By activating the Essential add-on, apart from keeping your custom domain connected to your website you'll be able access some premium features such as watermark removal and full access to the SEO App, where you can optimize your pages and improve the search engine rankings. The reason behind the recent changes upon domain connection has been explained through several emails priorly sent to our user base, and the vast majority has happily accepted the new terms due to multiple factors: the free service and quality support received throughout the past years, great functionality available under the free plan, super low fees for the new add-on, and more. Hi Kate, and thanks for the feedback! We're sorry you feel this way about the recent update, but there are a few points I'd love to clarify. Since the beginning of Ucraft, we have provided the community with a solid opportunity to connect a custom domain for free. Now the number of free domains on our platform went significantly high, and it's becoming difficult for us to maintain those domains while keeping the servers active (Google Cloud Hosting) and the business sustainable. Your website will still be live under a free subdomain provided by Ucraft, while there is a very small fee you can opt to pay in case you want to keep your custom domain connected to your site. You'll also get some premium features such as removing the Ucraft watermark and full access to the SEO App. We'd really appreciate your support on this🤍 Feel free to reach out to us in case of any further questions. Ucraft team usually notifies our users of any scheduled maintenance or downtime planned on the platform in advance.
