Good plugins, but their shop is a joke, they ripped off all their loyal customers recently with the Native Ampex plugin, £49 in their shop, then had the audacity to email me later to offer it for $39. I had contacted support who couldn't have cared less and now they have blatantly rubbed my nose in their extremely suspect business practice, I will not buy another plugin from them again. Awful business practice, but good plugins.

Useless customer service
I bought ravel grand piano plug in and followed all download instructions to the letter. I paid £40 for this and it just sits unusable on my pc. I have tried literally everything i can to use it to no avail. I emailed the supplier who were no help except to tell me to contact UAD. They have not even bothered to reply.
Will never use this company again. £40 down the drain.
Update
Finally got this program to do something. It occationally loads when it feels like, then drops out whilst playing. Absolute rubbish.
I have a quad core processor with nothing else running yet its still crap

They offer Luna DAW for free (they say)…
They offer Luna DAW for free (they say) …they ask you to leave your emailadr. In order to sent you a link for a download..then you need at once an account …and
when you finally agree and download their software they install without asking a malware called iLok which is known trouble maker. Is is free DAW or not free ???
Why do you tease customers in that way ?

Zero aftersales care
I bought a UAFX Dream 65 pedal at the beginning of July 2023. When it arrived one of the rubber feet on the bottom of the unit kept falling off which I figured was no big deal as I could just put the foot back on. Eventually it was happening so frequently that it fell off somewhere and I couldn’t find the foot anywhere.
Figuring that this wouldn’t be a big issue, I contacted Universal Audio on April 5th, 2024 to request a new foot, which I would be happy to pay for as these things must cost pennies - I just wanted the unit to be in the perfect condition it should have been from new.
I attempted to get through to an actual human via the chat function on their website, and it took a week for somebody to get back to me (Ron from customer care). Ron was polite but asked me to provide him with all the details that had already filled in via the chat function. Regardless, I provided this information again, and on April 19th, Ron stated that he would get my details sent over to the service department. Ever since then I haven’t heard anything, and this is despite following up with a request for an update on May 7th.
Here’s the thing; *I* know and *you* know that a small rubber for on a pedal is not really a big deal at all, despite the fact that in principle, I shouldn’t have to be dealing with this. The fact that this company cannot get such a small issue right says to me that they don’t care about aftersales one iota, and that if you bought one of their other – usually very expensive - pieces of equipment, that you will have your time wasted and you will receive practically zero in the way of customer care if you need it.
The kicker here is that I’m a big user of high-quality studio gear and I usually use Fractal for my guitar tones, so I’m not afraid to pay money for high-end or expensive equipment. This is my first ever Universal Audio product which I bought as I enjoy experimenting with new gear, and for the sake of one small rubber foot they have entirely lost my custom (and that of my musician friends – they weren’t impressed either) as a result.
Follow-up 11/6/24: I eventually did hear back from customers services and received a new set of feet. It's a shame that it was a lot of work for something so simple though, and I highly doubt I would've received the assistance had I not written a review here, so I'll leave the original review up, give an extra star, and say thanks to UA for the eventual help.

Some of the best out there
I have used UAD plugins and hardware for many years now, and can absolutely say that it is some of the very best out there.
Customer support is not the best I have experienced, but not as terrible as some make them out to be here.
They always reply and try their best to solve any problem you have...but sometimes they just don't seem to be able to fix them.
But somehow I have always managed to find a remedy, and keep on rocking.
For a seasoned professional like me, no other company makes re-creations of familiar hardware like UAD ...and in many cases the same brand name made the originals.
The new addition of native versions has really boosted the usefulness and capacity a lot...so cheers for that!
The new addition of instruments is great...and some of them like the Waterfall organ and Rhodes, are the best I have heard.
Lately the prices have become very reasonable...so that's a + too.

UAD customer support is absolutely horrible
UAD customer support is absolutely horrible. All you can deal with is the Bot that tells you the same thing over and over that didn't help. I put in a support ticket and still no help. I got a response from that damn Bot again. I spent a lot of money at this company and to receive such cruddy support is not acceptable.

Awful company
Awful company. Customer Service is not empathetic. Been having continous Issues with Windows for many many years. Just get a Focusrite or just any other interface in general. Wasted so much time.

Compatibility Issues iLok/macOS
Have been informed about iLok compatibility issues with the new version of macOS (again). Thats not acceptable in 2024.
UA Audio:
Make iLok avoid such problems and please find another copyright solution. iLok has hurt us since the 90'.
I do not want to postpone any Mac OS upgrade.
Stopped buying any new plugin with iLok.
