TurboSquidReviews of turbosquid.com

I use Turbosquid for years now, as both seller and buyer, and never had any problem with them. They doing great job, even if it's true that the royaltie rates are very low. Still great support and huge amount of 3D models.

By far the worst place to sell your intellectual properties. I've been with them since 2012 and twice now, turbosquid has arbitrarily unchecked my "do not participate in sales" option and sold my models off for significantly less than the low end price I already sell my products at. Furthermore, it used to be a decent place to buy and sell but these days turbosquid has become nothing but an over saturated collection of poor quality high priced rubbish models. Do yourself a HUGE favor and seek any of your 3D needs elsewhere. Peace.

I thought buying "royalty-free" products would allow me the freedom to create awesome animations to eventually sell on Shutterstock or Videohive or any other platform where animators & artists can earn some money. It's not "royalty-free" at all. For example, they don't allow you to sell your own created animations if you used the paid royalty-free Turbosquid assets. This restricts the users from selling their creations on other platforms and this defeats the whole purpose of the royalty-free license. I think all animators out there should read Turbosquid's so-called "royalty-free" license, as this is very disappointing. I feel bad for the people that actually selling footage right now, most likely not knowing that it isn't even allowed. I'm happy I read it in time before I bought all my assets. If you want the freedom to create and sell, search for sites that actually do provide Royalty-free licenses that are not custom made to limit your freedom of selling your products on other platforms.

I gave them a one star rating at first because my order was cancelled without explanation and purchasing a model seemed like a hassle with all the steps they required. I am now giving them 4 stars because their customer service is top notch, at least it was in my case. I had a love chat with someone and they explained the issue, it was an error on my part. I made the purchase again and got an approval very quickly. When the files were ready for download, i would click on them and nothing would happen. I called and spoke to someone named Brittney, she was very nice and told me my vpn was causing the issue. She did something on her end and i was able to download. Then i was having issues downloading that specific file format... I couldn’t unzip them (I use a Mac). Called Brittney back and she quickly sent me the unzipped files with a direction sheet on how to do the rest. I eventually realized i couldn’t used what i had purchased, it was my fault, and they gave me a full refund. In addition to superb customer service they have the best 3D image selection by far.

Dont buy anything get the free models

Avoid them at all cost. In 2020 it is easier to direct sale your models then use platform like this.

They took money from my card 2 times and I didnt get anything Worst service ever

TURBOSQUID owe me $26.00 since 5 years. I closed my account after considering that I was paying too much of their royalty (Lost most of my money with their royalties cost) and instead of sending me kindly a check like as I strongly asked, they sent the money to my old and closed paypal account where I cannot access or get my money. They told me that it's not their problem. Please stay away from them, they steal 40% from the artists. Here's the previous message from them: Your royalty amount is 40%; Therefore, your balance is currently $26.00.
