I hate not being able to try on dresses but the bride insisted we use this company. Delivery came way sooner than expected and the color of the dress is exactly what the bride wanted. Having given them my exact measurements the dress is too big in my bust and waist and basically looks like a am wearing a curtain. I'm just disappointed I have to spend more money on alterations than what I paid for the dress.

In Conclusion to my 2 previous reviews.
In Conclusion to my 2 previous reviews.
All issues have been resolved. Refunds were issued so we are good. Our experience was stressful and no one needs this when they are planning a wedding. For future bridesmaids I will give you our experience. Tulle & Chantilly operates out of Hong Kong and not in the USA. They do not take or answer phone calls even though they provide a phone number on their web site. They only communicate by email and it takes them several days to a week to get back to you. I actually finally reached them on a late Friday night while I was out to dinner thru FB messaging, when we were not getting any response to our emails. So here’s the deal:
1. Do not order several dress sizes if you think you are going to try them on at home and send back the ones that don’t fit. 2 of our bridesmaids did this and Tulle & Chantilly flagged this from the beginning. Their mistake was that they accepted payment for multiple orders even when they wouldn’t fill them. It was a concern on our part because the refunds are issued thru a UK banking system that takes months to resolve. We, as Americans, are not accustomed to this style of refunds on our online purchases. But that was finally resolved.
2. The reason we picked Tulle & Chantilly in the first place was because of their very nicely designed website. We ordered & purchased (they were not free) fabric samples of the colors we wanted. We were looking for a particular shade of blue, and honestly we had samples from many bridesmaids dress vendors and Tulle & Chantilly was THE ONLY ONE CARRYING the color we wanted. All other vendors had muddy blues and we knew we liked what T&C had to offer.
3. Timing and delivery worked out fine. We were nervous because at the time of our orders the T&C website was reporting that they were swamped and all new orders were on hold. The dresses came by a DHL delivery service & we had to sign for them upon delivery.
4. The fabric and fit. The fabric was lovely, the dress design was exactly as pictured and the dresses really were lovely. All the dresses required hemming, which we expected and we ordered the dresses well in advance in anticipation of alterations. Hemming averaged $50 per dress depending where you go. One bridesmaid needed bodice work and hemming, her alterations ran $350, in addition to the original cost of the dress at $150, it was a hefty total of $500 for one dress! But we were stuck with no extra time and no plan B.
5. Bottom line, these dresses are very pretty, we were never disappointed with the quality or the color. Our anxiety resulted from communication. If you have plenty of time and plenty of patience, Tulle & Chantilly delivers on their product.
Thanks for listening to me. Good luck to all the future brides out there. My daughter’s wedding was special in every way!

IT'S OK.
I am satisfied with the dresses. I order 4 bridesmaid dresses from them, and 1 for my engagement photos. Customer service is 5 stars. However the dresses are not. The fabric looks really cheap and it wasn't sawn on in the best way. Additionally, the design of the dress was different. In the picture the fabric in the torso would curve around the models body, but the dresses we got did not have that design and they attach it going straight up and down. I don't mind the cheap fabric so much, but was not happy with the design change. My wedding was too close and I couldn't return the dresses and buy new ones in time.... However... I love the color of the dresses, and they actually looked pretty nice on the pictures. (unless the bridesmaids bend their bodies and you can see how the fabric moves around because it was not attached properly). Overall, I am not mad about the dress, but If I had to do it again I would not go with Tulle and Chantilly, but it was ok.
In Conclusion
The dresses measurements were accurate. The colors are beautiful. The dresses look nice in pictures. Fabric quality is bad. Sawing was below average but ok. Customer service is good. Delivery was fast (5 weeks) So hopefully this review helps another bride.

Custom size is too long, partial refund after a lot of e-mails
I ordered a bridesmaid's dress in a custom size (for which I paid extra). I was very clear and accurate in my measurements and even e-mailed back and forth a few times to confirm they understood them. It took three months before the dress arrived.
The dress looks good at first sight. The bodice fits well, but it turns out they messed up the length: the dress is several inches too long. I have e-mailed 'Sophie' repeatedly about this but was told that I measured wrong! I showed them by linking back to their own size-chart and measurements information that the measurements I provided were accurate, and that the dress was not made to my length measurement.
I requested a partial refund because they did not make the dress to the measurements I provided. Initially they did not understand/acknowledge that they made an error with regards to the dress length, but after sending photos with a measuring tape and a schematic photo showing where they misused a measurement, eventually they agreed to give me a partial refund, which they transferred to my account. This refund will go towards getting the dress altered at a local tailor.
I don't know if three months is normal for a bridesmaid's dress to arrive, but it was well in time for the event--please order well in advance (my order was placed over four months in advance). The dress looks good but when you look inside/in more detail, some things are a bit unfinished (some seams are just stitched, not finished using an overlocker). Communication after I notified them of their error was tough. Their messages were polite but they didn't understand or acknowledge the mistake initially, so it took several e-mails back and forth to get to an agreement on a partial refund. I am pleased they did provide me with a partial refund, but I would have preferred the dress was made according to all my measurements. The experience was thus not what I was hoping for. I haven't heard about any other issues with the other bridesmaids (of this event), so hopefully this was just my bad luck :(.

Honest Experience
It was a nightmare working with this company. The custom dress I ordered for my bridesmaid was terrible and she couldn't even fit her arms in it. it took me 40 emails, a post on instagram, and two terrible reviews to finally get the company to care. they weren't going to refund me even though the dress was unwearable for ANY of my bridesmaids because of how poorly it was made. Finally after filing a dispute with my credit card company and leaving reviews, they are refunding me as i deserve. Now i can actually get a dress that will fit and look as expected from a different company.

BUYER BEWARE!! *edited*

I did change my rating. They did reach out and offer to refund some of the cost of the alterations. I appreciate that gesture. However, even that process was drawn out and overly complicated. I personally still recommend going to a bridal shop, out of general principle, but if you have the time to pay very close attention to the details and allot time for alterations, tulle and chantilly does have some pretty dresses.
BUYER BEWARE!!!
I ordered 2 bridesmaid dresses for 2 separate weddings from this company.
Neither dress color matched the swatches
-One color was "sage" and the swatch was sage- the dress is bright mint green. The other was "wine" which looked like a beautiful summer red on the swatch...its burgundy. .
Sizing was WAYYY off.
- Basically had to have a seamstress reconstruct the dress.
- She said it looked like they put one size bodice on a different size skirt.
- Hem line was horrible. It was longer in front than in back. Another bridesmaid had hers hemmed as well (after giving them her measurements and hight - she's 5'1' BTW). The seamstress had to take 8 inches off of her hem, and had to re-hem mine so it was straight and didn't look like a 3 year old did it.
Took FOREVER to get the dresses.
- 1st wedding is in May (ordered both dresses at the same time). Ordered the dress is Novemeber, received it in April.
Customer service was terrible.
- When the first bridesmaid dress arrived for the bridal party, we realized the green was horribly off. Bride contacted customer service and was told we could not return the dress and the ones that were still "processing" could not be changed.
- It took 5 of the 8 bridesmaids repeatedly emailing the company to even get our dresses in time.
Theres a reason they do not allow reviews on their facebook page....this is it.
Save yourself and your bridesmaids a headache and worry- go to a braidal shop and get your dresses.
We all paid almost $200 per dress and they are so not worth the money.
Oh! And there are NO labels in the dress- no fiber content- no country of origin- no care instructions. NOTHING. Not even the brand logo.
