I used the custom fitting option for ordering, I had my aunt help me who makes custom dresses. When I got the dress, it wasn't fit to me at all, the top was overly larger and needed to take it somewhere for alterations. The top of the dress was horribly fit, it was too long from the breasts to the belly button and would bunch up. There were 8 bridesmaids in the wedding I wore this dress for and every single one of us had issues! When we would use the fabric to use as straps, it made it even worse. There was a stitching going across the chest that was visible on my dress, using the strap was the only way to hide this sticking. Very disappointed. Within 6 hours of wearing the dress, there were plastic strips poking thru the fabric and rubbing on my under arms and back. The color and the fabric was about the only thing that was higher rated for this dress.

Not very happy
Ordered a dress from here for a wedding as a custom dress went and got the measurements done by a seamstress to make sure they were correct (I always do this-never has been wrong before :)!) I sent in the measurements with a friend. When we got our dresses back hers fit perfectly every where length was the perfect length mine however was not itbwad rather very short and was not happy. I wasn't able to try on the dress till recently (past the return request date). I has asked all the bridesmaids if their dresses were as short as mine and they all said no, ireached out to company and explained the situation; they had offered $30 refund or a credit towards a new dress. I originally was going to go with the new dress but I got the exact same measurements as the first time so I decided to do the refund instead. I'm pretty upset about the $30 refund I was hoping for at least 50% if not 100% refund as it was not my error at all and nobody in the group has the issue.

I recently purchased a bridesmaid dress…
I recently purchased a bridesmaid dress from Tulle & Chantilly. Despite carefully checking my measurements multiple times before choosing a size, the dress I was sent was ridiculously small around my bust and ribcage in comparison to the measurements stated on their website. I contacted Tulle & Chantilly in order to return it, but their policy only allows returns within an incredibly short, 5-day period. Due to COVID-19 travel closures, I was not able to try on my dress until a few days after this 5-day period. Despite many other clothing and regular stores allowing anywhere from 1-2 extra months for returns, due to these unforeseen circumstances, the Tulle and Chantilly employee I contacted was not helpful in ensuring the return of my dress that was obviously made too small. Instead of offering an exchange or refund, as one might expect from an incorrect order, they only offered to remake it if I paid for it AGAIN, and the dress I ordered was $154. Overall, the customer service was very disappointing and the accuracy of the dress sizes was extremely incorrect. On the plus side, the material of the dress was nicely made. But for potential formal dress buyers, please look elsewhere for a better shopping and customer service experience, price, and product.

I ordered blue swatches (5 swatches)…
I ordered blue swatches (5 swatches) paid $10 dollars for shipping. I sent it to my parents house due to packages getting stolen from my apartment. My parents told me that even though I paid for postage it did not cover enough. The mailman reported it did not cover the rate. My parents had to pay $3 dollars additionally for shipping swatches! I mean come on! Get a flat rate. The quality is alright for swatches but pretty upset that I had to pay so much for a tiny bit of fabric. A big rip off.

So-so customer service, beware of return process
The website suggests all dresses be purchased in a single transaction so that's what we did. Unfortunately, I only have 2 bridesmaids and they ordered dresses only one size apart (10 and 12) - under the same name and sent to the same address - because how else do you order them in a single transaction? The size 10 fit my one bridesmaid, the size 12 was too small for the other. HOWEVER, because the sizes were only 1 size apart, the company said they thought it was a try-on-at-home order and that we intended to have one person try both on and return the one that didn't fit. This was not the case, simply that both of my bridesmaids ordered similar sizes. The initial correspondence I had with Tulle & Chantilly was promising, I described my situation and they said they'd do what they could to resolve the problem for me. Then, their second email was very cryptic and difficult to understand, they both asked for pictures and more information about what the problem was, and also said a return would not be accepted. As with at least one other reviewer, they also suggested to me that the dress be re-sold locally to "get my money back". It really seemed like they were trying to make the whole process as difficult as possible. Now mind you, I am the bride and just trying to remedy this situation for my close friend and bridesmaid, who is now stuck paying for TWO bridesmaid dresses for herself. I feel terribly about this and will likely end up paying for one of them myself because I just can't expect her to pay double.
The biggest issue I have with this company is the lack of transparency for their "return policy". Yes - they may accept returns if you put up a fight, and say you will be responsible for return shipping, which I feel is reasonable to assume would be similar to the original cost of shipping - please know that this is NOT the case. In fact, return shipping will likely cost you more than what you paid for the dress in the first place, making it pointless to even offer returns. Additionally, if you do manage to arrange a return, they have a very unforgiving 5-day return policy. Since dresses are to ideally be ordered in a single transaction, this depends on your bridesmaids all living very close to one another and actually all being able to get and try on their dresses immediately so they can initiate the return process. There might as well not even be a return policy in the first place as it is very misleading. I also agree with previous reviewers that there is a significant language barrier in email correspondences that adds difficulty to an already nearly impossible process.
In the end, after MANY emails back and forth, the company agreed to partially refund the cost of the original dress without having to ship it back. I'm hoping this is true and that my bridesmaid is able to recover some or most of the cost of the unusable dress.
Bottom line, the dresses themselves seem like they are well-made, but PLEASE look elsewhere for bridesmaid dresses - somewhere your bridesmaids can be measured in-person to be 100% sure the sizing is correct and someplace where customer service is easier to deal with. If you do go with T&C, I would suggest erring on the side of ordering a slightly too-big dress as it will be less of a headache to take it in than to pay for a second dress. I was really trying to avoid the "big box" generic bridal stores, but now find myself wishing I'd gone there...live and learn I guess.
T&C asked if I would "kindly delete my review since this is a misunderstanding" - which is a red flag. I have instead updated my review to provide an honest account of my experience with them.

Hi Cassie,
We really felt very sorry to discover your compliant here so late. According to your information, we have found your order and the communication record. Meanwhile, I discovered that we have solved this problem.
We sincerely apologize to you. Your previous communication with our customer service team did not give you any help, which also caused you to thought that our email was very cryptic and difficult to understand. That is not the case. We need pictures and more information to confirm what the skirt is doing wrong and made it unfit. If the dress can be modified locally, we can also provide a certain amount of modification compensation, as stated in our refund policy. We have set a page of return policy on our website: https://www.tulleandchantilly.com/return_policy.html And we will issue a full refund if the dress doesn't fit.
We are sorry again for all unhappiness that it caused to you. I hope that you are satisfied with our final processing results.

Very dissatisfied with my purchase
Very dissatisfied with my purchase. The dress sent to me was not made correctly and did not fit properly. Upon contacting them I had to take pictures of the dress and go through a series of 8 email correspondences just to try to get some of my money back. Even though their site says they will refund you the dress they insisted on suggesting I take it somewhere to get it altered and sending me a new dress when I had already had to purchase another dress for my occasion. I am left with a dress I can't do anything with and lost $61.50 after the refund. I understood that I would need to pay shipping to get it back to them and then get refunded for the cost of the dress ($121.50). I went to get a quote on shipping the dress back and they said it would cost $150. That is crazy. The shipping cost should be similar to what I paid to ship it over ($20). That is very misleading. I was prepared to lose shipping costs which would have put me at a $100 refund (based on $20 shipping rate). So since I can't get the dress back to them, I am stuck in a position where I have to accept a $80 credit, which is all they the manager will offer me. I do not recommend purchasing through this company.
UPDATE: after posting my reviews they agreed to refund the full price of the dress not including shipping. I have seen the refund come through so I am updating my review to two stars, still would not recommend purchasing though them though, maybe only if you are a smaller size - it seems they don't know how to make bigger dresses. :(

TOO-GOOD-TO-BE-TRUE website…is just that.
Found this TOO-GOOD-TO-BE-TRUE website to be just that - DON'T DO IT. Seven bridesmaids ordered the same skirt for the same wedding in different sizes and NONE of them fit anybody. ALL OF THEM WERE TOO SMALL and WAAAAYY too long (even for the 6'2" girl) and had to be trimmed and fixed up. The material wasn't worth the money and the hooks were cheap. Tulle & Chantilly got us our dresses in time but it didn't help since we couldn't wear them.

So we ordered 4 dresses for my bridesmaid in November. I put my event date as March 10. This gave them 5 months. I assumed we’d get our dresses in February, but NO. The dresses arrived March 7!!! 3 days before I needed them. My girls needed alterations. I emailed the store 30 times before getting a decent response. On top of that, we ordered robes. All matching, all pink. They sent one navy one. What was I supposed to do with a navy robe that didn’t match anyone or the wedding colors. This store/site made my wedding planning more stressful then it should have been. The dresses came in good and nice and I like them.
