Don’t buy from them !!!
This is the worst company to deal with . I ordered fall bulbs and they both arrived at the end of October . I got the first box planted but the second box didn’t arrive til the end of October . It’s already frozen here . Called them 3 times , they never pick the phone up . They called me yesterday and I said I want to return this last box because it’s so late . They would not take it back . Also my credit for a phlox bush they can’t find . It was not used on my order either . This is just the worse company. I will never buy from them again . Terrible!!!

Hi Michaele,
Thank you for your recent order and for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to hear your disappointment with the ship time of your order. It appears you are located in hardiness zone 7, therefore there is still plenty of time to plant as these bulbs can be planted anytime in the fall as long as the ground is not frozen solid. We only see one order in your account, which is your recent fall bulb order and do not see that any phlox were purchased from us. We hope you are able to get out and plant the bulbs this fall for a beautiful display of spring blooms.

My complaints echo many others…
My complaints echo many other customers. I ordered specific plants for my garden on 2 occasions and some did not grow. I could not get the same plant as part of the guarantee, just a credit. I was told after the first call to wait a week and call back. That seems to be a standard practice to avoid fulfilling the guarantee.
I also pre ordered fall bulbs in the spring. The company lost the order and failed to mail it out with a second summer order. I had to remind them. The order was not even listed on the web site.
They say the fall mailings will start mid Sept. That's a lie. They didn't get in the mail until late Oct. When I called in late Sept, they said they hadn't even received their bulbs yet. Consequently, the bulbs will get in the ground late, making their proper growth suspect, and knowing their weak guarantee policy, my loss.
That's ok... they've lost me as a customer.
Follow-up on 11.04.24 Tulip World Response to my review.
You'll notice that the response said nothing about their losing my order. No apologies, no reasons, no compensation for late delivery. Nor did they mention that my bulbs are not guaranteed because I live in a warmer zone than their guarantee permits. Even though they were late in sending the order and I could not get them in the ground in early fall. Here's what their guarantee says: "We are not able to guarantee the viability of the items if they are not planted upon arrival and stored."
On the shipment of the late order they missed, I was told the bulbs are not guaranteed because they were not "hardy" in my growing zone. That's not listed in their guarantee, just these words: "There are many environmental factors that are needed for a plant to successfully grow. These factors, including but not limited to, poor weather, planting outside of recommended growing conditions, improper planting techniques, moisture/sunlight needs, location, timing, etc. are out of our control and therefore cannot be covered under our Guarantee."
They say below that clearance items can only get a credit and that's in their guarantee. What the guarantee really says is this: "If an item that fails to grow is part of a collection or bulk item, a merchandise credit will be issued for the same portion of the amount paid for the item." Again, the idea is to use their vague wording "collection or bulk item" to mean "clearance item."
Beware the buyer. You would think the company would provide better service and more understanding rather than using every trick and unwritten but vague words to not do what's right.

Hi Allen,
Thank you for your orders from the past several months. We are sorry to hear your disappointment that some of the items didn't grow. Our guarantee policy is that when an item doesn't grow purchased at clearance prices a merchandise credit will be issued, this information is listed on our website.
We do see that all fall orders have shipped other than the recently canceled order, and wish you the best success with these flower bulbs. If for some reason they do not grow, please contact us by June of 2025 so we can properly credit you for the items.

Disappointing experience
I ordered 250 daffodil bulbs. 43 of the 250 were mushy. The company would not do anything about it because they said I stored them too long. I stored them in a cool dry place for about 10 days because it has been unseasonably warm in my area and we didn't want to plant too early. This was for a community garden with limited funds. Will never deal with this company again.

Possible scam company
More than a month after I spent hundreds on their bulbs, they should've shipped already. Deplspite the dates liated on their site, the company still can't tell me when to expect them since those dates have already passed.
They say that they're really busy and will send the order when they can. It sounds like they're in over their head and can't keep up. This is a poorly run company that doesn't answer the phone. I recommend ordering from a more reputable business.

I ordered many irises from Tulip World…
I ordered many irises from Tulip World in 2023 and none started ! The size of their rhizomes were 1/5 of the size of the rhizomes sold by Schreiner iris garden. Don't waste your money buying from TW irises.
Response from Tulip WorldAug 30, 2024
Hi Elena,
Thank you for your recent order and for leaving a review of our company. We are sorry to hear that the irises did not grow. It appears they were planted in pots, which our guarantee doesn't cover as they are not intended to be in pots over winter. We are sorry for your disappointment is the size, however, we can say that they are comparable to Schreiner's.

Unprofessional and unethical business...…
Ordered Siberian colonial mustard iris bulbs back in June...they shipped out and we got them in no time. They looked great and were packaged very well, followed the planting instructions and after 6 weeks nothing...we contacted customer service and were told to give it till Aug 11th and if still nothing to call back for a replacement. Called them back on August 15th...to be told they don't send replacements just a store credit and a free shipping certificate, both good for 2 years. What a joke and pathetic company....I'm on a few gardening groups online and plan to post this all on their sites, to let other gardeners know not to purchase from them in the future
Response from Tulip WorldAug 19, 2024
Hi Kevin,
Thank you for your recent order with our company and for leaving a review regarding how the iris grew. We are sorry to hear that the iris didn't grow and that was conflicting information regarding how we would help if they didn't grow. Per our guarantee when items fail to grow a merchandise credit is offered, therefore our customer service team was following the policy that is listed on our website. We are sorry if that is not the outcome you wanted.
