This may be a bit confusing
Updated Sept 29, 3026 Unfortunately i still have not received all the items missing from my order. I did receive a splash mat. Also, after a bad shipping experience and what initially appeared to be a positive customer service experience, this company is still having issues with customer service. I contacted them again about the still missing maintenance kit and received an email asking me for a photo of the maling label or packaging, if i understood correctly. i no longer had either. Instead, i provided them with the original order number as well as the secondary order number. That was on Sept 28. No response that day. Today, i received a second email telling me that if they did not hear from me, they were closing the ticket. So apparently had not read my email with the order numbers. Again, no response today. Ultimately, i remain pleased with the product and extremely unhappy with the service. The fountain is easy to clean and my cat is happy with it. Also, the drinking water tank stays clean, without biofilm or slime. If you can avoid the humans involved, i don't think you will be disappointed. Original review 8/30/2026 This may be a bit confusing. First, service. At first, I was not impressed because the delivery was quite delayed, I did not receive everything listed on the “contents” list, the package had been opened/or damaged and rewrapped in white plastic. (As a side, slightly petty note, the little instruction pamphlet was in print so small that this elderly lady had to use a magnifying glass.) Nevertheless, I did contact Purestream and received a very prompt reply and a package sent out containing the missing bits. So I’m not sure what happened with the original system, but so far they earned major points for prompt response time and service. More to the point, is the fountain. Does it work well, how does the cat like it, etc.. Logically, the selling points are sane and sensible, and after going through various fountains over the years, and losing a senior cat to sudden kidney failure, I was beginning to feel the frustration—and disgust—of many of us struggling with biofilm, clean pumps, fountains and hard water. Despite a pump I could disassemble fairly easily and clean, I never felt sure it was completely clean. I washed the plastic bits with anti-bacterial dish soap, probably left scratches removing hard water build up—and that particular fountain was the best I had tried. The Purestream fountain was easy to assemble and understand and so far easy to clean. My cat was at first perplexed—the old fountain had a bubbler—and startled a little when the stainless steel tray is filled, but she seems to have made the switch without any fuss. The clean water tank is simple to refill, the used water easy to empty and rinse clean as well. So far, I’m pretty happy, and as I said, the facts and logic work.
