Day 1 rental at 127 s Permuda Wynd. Arrived early , parked on street; 1 pm cant get in til 4; place is a mess ! trash strewn side yard, rusted rain gutter blocking walk, broken shutters propped against the house; my heart sunk...what might inside look like ? called treasure realty . Disconnected ! got through, into voicemail; 1 hour later they call back...what I was doing there ? did I pay for early entry ? if someone saw me parked in drive, they might be suspicious ! I parked in street, walked to the house...she will send maintenance out. Backyard filthy; outdoor shower yeech ! Mold everywhere ! discarded rusted / broken child toys, beach chairs...workmen arrived; could not do much, house poorly maintained, improperly cleaned. Got inside...ugh ! stairs carpet filthy ! Bedroom carpets filthy ! stained and dirty ! and not dirty from last tenant...dirty from years of tenants & no professional cleaning...Ants in the kitchen. My guests arrived and I was embarrassed. Called office...please send someone out to re-clean. Never showed ! tomorrow is Sunday...guess I wont hear from them till Monday... our second bad experience with Treasure ! DAY 8 [2 WK STAY] In fairness to Treasure Realty, they have been responsive after we took possession of the rental. got the rugs shampooed; smoke detectors replaced [ but found that two were 12 years old and inoperable ! ]. Screen door fixed !

I have stayed at 2508 South shore Drive three times. This time for 2 weeks and it was one disaster after another. First the water heater element went bad so no ho water (no one's fault as that can happen), then upstairs AC not working well (AC filter filthy and clearly had not been changed recently), washing never finished a cycle just continued to run, dryer would not dry clothes after multiple cycles and caused the upstairs to become even hotter (upon inspection the dryer hose had been previously duct taped and now had a hole so all the moisture was just blowing out into the upstairs), bugs everywhere (roaches and bugs on the counter), AC unit then froze and caused a leak in the first floor ceiling which we had to place pots under the leaks, ice make made ice continuously so when you open the freezer door ice poured out onto the kitchen floor. All of this was relayed to Treasure Realty, and they only addressed the water heater element and the AC filter and added freon to the upstairs AC unit. Everything else was not addressed and we had to go to a laundry mat to do laundry. The owners were called and stated the washer/dryer worked for them so not to worry about it, per the repair tech. that came to the house. Additionally the beds are in need of new mattresses, both the upstairs king and queen cause you to roll to the middle. I have been coming to Topsail for 40+ years and have never had such a bad experience, and poor response from the realty company.

In the past we have had excellent luck renting through Treasure Realty. This last rental should be more closely reviewed by Treasure. The central air was not working on the main floor and three room air conditioners were duct taped into the master bedroom and living room. They were noisy and running constantly....really disturbing for sleep. In addition when we arrived there was an old dirty stove/oven sitting in the main living room which they removed after we called on Monday. The microwave in the kitchen was rusted inside and was a mess...had to readjust the turntable every time we used it to get it to work. There was lots more about this property the was not on the level we have come to enjoy when using Treasure, but it’s too much to list here. We’ve been using Treasure for about six years and we’re very disappointed.

Our family rented a house for one week from Treasure Reality. The house was left unclean and furniture broken. Treasure reality was unresponsive to concerns until our trip had concluded, and even then providing horrible customer service. Provided the many options out there and current COVID concerns, I would strongly suggest you opt for another provider or will likely be thoroughly disappointed.

2404 Shore Dr., South was our house. The AC unit does not cool the house, a guest got stuck in the elevator and maintenance helped get her out. Three story house and the elevator was NEVER fixed. The master bedroom wall leaked profusely down the wall into an outlet. Grill was filthy. Electrical outlet on porch was hanging out and very dangerous to all involved. Railing on the third floor porch was loose and very dangerous. Maintenance was told and never fixed it. Trash in the dunes, all plastic deck chairs broken. Floor filthy underneath furniture. Check in time moved up 1 hour without letting us know. We left a list of complaints with Treasure Realty when we left on Saturday. It is now Thursday an no one had contacted us nor will they answer our calls when we follow up. We have read several reviews which are very similar complaints. Very disappointing experience. We expected more for the amount we paid for this rental.

Please read before you rent from Treasure Realty! We were not informed of leak in master bedroom prior to entering home... even though carpet soaking.. industrial filthy dehumidifier in closet and tubing strung thru master bath into the shower! Ever heard the sound of industrial dehumidifier? Ever tried to sleep in a room that smells like wet dog with drip drip drip. No communication up front! Even though they had my cell and email and I picked up packet at office in person! Sleazy operation! Nice as can be til your moneys in their pocket! I was to receive an email later in the week of May 23 telling me if reimbursement. It’s June 10th I’m still waiting! Air conditioning pan in ceiling with holes.. carpet wet smelled of wet dog.. dehumidifier in master bedroom emptying in-shower.. the entire week. We paid over 3700 for week we were reimbursed 224... which credit card company notified me of.,. Not Treasure Realty... even though on Memorial Day I was promised an email! Many other Realtors! Choose one besides Treasure! I’ve emailed multiple times since leaving island asking for an explanation! I’ve received none! Ridiculous!

First, I'm only leaving 1 star because I was required to, in order to write this review! I'm a local, in the business of restoring and renovating homes, in the area covered by Treasure Realty. We have been working on the Baker's personal home, and I have to say it has been the worst experience ever! From start to finish, nothing has been good enough! All of us have been doing our very best to fulfill every demand put forth by Richard! It's been 5 weeks since we started it and have not been paid yet! The job is done, aside from paint touch ups, and the Homeowner's Association inspected today and approved the payment, but Richard has done his very best to extend the job. Asking for ridiculous things to be done, not in contract, delaying approval on payment until he is satisfied, before final walkthrough and exit of the job. All to avoid paying for contractor work not covered by HOA! They talk about their Christian values and all the help to the community, but we are locals, restoring their home, and we are struggling to pay bills because he doesn't want to pay for the work! I know this has very little to do with the company itself, but it shows how little they consider the locals in their own community, who are trying to make their home livable and beautiful again! He refuses to pay people for the work they have done for him! I will never do anymore work for him again, personal or rental! Beware of people professing Christian faith and values to make themselves appear kinder and more trustworthy! All to make the money that they will not use to pay people that worked for them!
