Hi Stephen, the IRM-30-12ST has an output voltage tolerance specification of +/- 2.5% of rated output. This means the voltage can be 11.7Vdc to 12.3Vdc which is within the specifications. We need to better understand the load that you are connected to. It may be possible that your load does not require the full 2.5A to operate. Additionally, a low voltage drop could also be associated to where the voltage is measured. For example, if the load is measured at the load point, with some distance from the power supply itself, there will be a voltage drop due to the wire resistance. The wire gauge will also contribute to this voltage drop. It will be best to connect with you to go over these details so that we can work on a solution with you.
