Our Travelous planned trip to Egypt was one of our best. Their local guides (Eman and Lamey) are amazing and experienced Egyptologists. They brought the history of Egypt and the people of the country to life. On ground logistics were perfect -- great drivers and vehicles. Travelous went the extra mile when we needed to change our arrival at the last minute, quickly rearranging lodging and the itinerary. Chris Bazos knows a great deal about Egypt and sent us to great local restaurants.They also handled a problem with lodging in Aswan in a good way.

The Travelous agent created an excellent itinerary for our needs and wants for our excursion to the Middle East. He was easy to work with and communications were timely. He procured excellent guides, drivers, and airport agents. These guides and drivers were superb at being flexible with the daily itinerary to accommodate weather and other unforeseen events that came up. The airport agents were also indispensable in assisting us through airports where the processes could be difficult. I would recommend and book another trip with this particular agent any day if I were to be visiting another country in which he specializes!

It was great having knowledgeable guides and secure transportation throughout our trip. The. guides were generally very personable and. willing to go extra to allow us to see things of interest that were not standard

Overall Comments: Our travel specialist and the travel company planned an excellent trip for our family to Egypt. We are well traveled and prefer private/personal service and luxurious accommodations. The travel company delivered on all aspects. We had excellent guides who were highly experienced Egyptologists throughout the journey, excellent drivers and airport representatives and VIP access to the key sites. Even the included meals were at top notch restaurants and special events (Christmas and New Years Eve). Our travel specialist personally has visited all the venues multiple times and no detail was missing. We toured everything from the Pyramids of Giza to the temples of Luxor to the Valley of Kings to Awan, Abu Simbel, and Cairo museum. The boat rides on the Nile were also nice. Leading up to the trip we made several changes in dates and what else we wanted to see. The travel company was quite flexible and throughout the journey we had the ability to adjust what we wanted to do. The service standard is quite high. I also appreciate that they respected we didn’t want to do shopping stops or buffets or other touristy stops. The accommodations were also top notch from the hotel in Aswan to the hotel in Cairo. We highly recommend this travel company for Egypt and will use them again for future trips. Most enjoyable or memorable parts of the trip: Getting a full view of the history of Egypt through key sites from the Old Kingdom to New Kingdom. Sites we enjoyed range from the Pyramids of Giza and Sakkara, the temples of Karnak, Luxor, Dandara, Abu Simbel, the tombs of the valley of Kings and Queens, and the experiences such as boat rides on the Nile and special meals. If you could take your trip again, what would you do differently? We would upgrade some of the internal flights in Egypt to business class. We would also change the first hotel in Cairo from the one which has the best location with views of the pyramids to the other as the service is much better there. All of the other accommodations and arrangements were terrific, including ending with the Cairo museum once we had visited all of the various sites. It gave context to the artifacts.

Our visit to Egypt was made special by the two guides Travelous organized for us, as well as all the planning they provided for our lodging, meals, and logistics. It was a truly fabulous trip.

Travelous and Chris Bazos orchestrated an amazing family trip to Egypt. From our landing in Cairo, travel to Giza, boarding of a Nile cruise and return flights to Cairo--- all were handled professionally and with precision. The hotels, airport representatives, tour vans, tour guides and drivers were generally outstanding. The built in free time was also well thought out. Coordination during the busiest time for touring Egypt (between Christmas and the New Year) was also much appreciated. The best parts of the trip were seeing the pyramids in Giza as well as the visit to Luxor and the various tombs we visited (the Queen Nefertari tomb was particularly stunning). It was of course mind-blowing and amazing to tour structures that were created 2500-4500 years in an era with out modern machinery or engineering in place. The vans used to transport us were of high quality and spacious. The Tour guides are also well educated (often carrying a doctorate) and provided very important background information. Great tour guides are essential to appreciate the antiquities and structures of Egypt.

Travelous and our agent Johanna made for the perfect vacation with my mom. Johanna listened to our needs and concerns as I planned a trip with my 80-year-old mom to South American. She customized the trip to allow us to see all the highlights and stay within mom's abilities. The pre-trip and en route communication with Johanna was superb! She was always quick to respond and answer any questions. We had a few hiccups that were outside the control of the travel agency. Based on extreme political activity we had to make some major itinerary changes pre-departure. During our trip, one of the internal airlines went on strike. Rebooking and adjustments were made while we enjoyed our day tour. Travelous and Johanna handled these issues for us, allowing us to enjoy and continue our vacation. This is my first experience with Travelous. Based on the service we received, I will MOST DEFINITELY use their services in the future and recommend to all my friends. Thank you!
