My wife booked a round trip flight from Iowa to Phoenix March of 2000. COVID peaked in this time, so she cancelled her return leg and drove home with a relative. Nonrefundable. We filed a claim with AIG/AON for the lost half of the ticket. It's been an endless process of supplying the same documentation over the past nine months. Avoid this outfit. You'll be throwing your money away.

I bought AON Travel Protect insurance for a cruise in November 2019 (well before COVID). I had to cancel due to 4 trips to emergency and 2 surgeries. Guess that isn't good enough for AON. I submitted all the documents they asked for and then they just kept asking for more of my personal medical records going back seven months before the cruise. Then they "closed" my claim over my objections. It's a scam.

This is the letter I sent to the attorney general in my state and also New York State. Don't know if it will get my money back but worth a try. On 1/9/20 I made a cruise reservation for a 9/24/20 departure date and also travel insurance with AON Leisure Care which is affiliated with Transamerica Casualty Insurance Company, Policy Number: MZ0911122H0004A, 900 Stewart Ave., Garden City NY 11530, for $190.00 all through Cruises Only. Our cruise was canceled 6/3/20. When I contacted the Travel Agency, Cruises Only I was told that it would take a couple months to see the refund on my credit card. I did get my cruise line refund but the travel insurance refund was not on my credit card statement. I contacted Cruises Only and spoke with Maria on 9/4/20 to see when I could expect my travel insurance refund and was told AON is just giving me a credit until 9/24/21. She said AON was initially giving refunds but is now giving credits. In January 2020 when I read the AON policy it said, if a cruise is canceled that they will give a full refund. When I reread the policy in August 2020 I now see they have put a caveat on the policy that says, only if the cruise line goes out of business. I spoke with Velma at AON on 9/10/20 and she told me that I could only get a refund if I’d canceled within ten days of purchasing the policy. With all that said, I want my $190.00 back. I don’t know what kind of scam AON is running that they can change their policies to suit whatever whim meets their agenda. I’m looking forward to you helping me with this issue. When I read the reviews online about AON of which there are many, everyone is having the same issue.

This Company is a Devil in disguise and They are so Un Professional, I have been trying to get my refund for almost 9 Months and the claims adjuster. Iets just say I had to hold my tongue. I got so Tired of them trying to play hide and seek, I contacted, the BBB. lets see what happens? so I would'nt recommend them to anyone except to Church.

I got sick and was hospitalized during a Tauck tour. I filed a claim with Aon and it took them 6 months before they finalized the claim. They did refund most of my money but only because I was constantly calling them. They almost never returned phone calls. Their method of business is to hope that you just give up. I will never use them again and am surprised that a quality company like Tauck endorses them. Next time I will find my own insurance.

RUN FROM THIS COMPANY! Complete rip off and waste of money. Please someone organize a class action suit against them. That you can ‘cancel for any reason’ is a joke.

These people are a scam! I had a trip to Canada in early April, filed a claim under the same Travel Guard policy I bought through Expedia, and AON refunded the flight to Canada. Later on, China Air canceled the flights to my Bali late June vacation. I called Expedia who refunded the flight and airport transfer but refused to refund the hotel portion. They claim the hotel gave me a "credit" for one year! WHEN will I be able to fly to Bali again? I have to work like crazy the next year to make up for all the lost revenue during this insane shut down in Los Angeles. So, I filed a claim with AON for a refund. My policy says I'm covered for "100% Trip Cost". *COST* means money, not a credit. This time, same policy, they say it's not covered? That Covid is not covered? I filed an appeal. WE NEED A CLASS ACTION SUIT! Please contact me. I will gladly provide my information. The hotel cost was over $3,100! I'm really angry about this SCAM.

I wish someone would organize a class action suit against these sleaze bags! I had a cruise canceled by Norwegian due to the Coronavirus outbreak. I had travel insurance through AON. They denied my claim to reimburse the trip insurance because the cruise line canceling your trip is not a qualified reason to collect on their insurance. Are you serious?? You have trip cancellation insurance, but the cruise line cancelling your trip is not a reason to collect?? This is as sleazy as an insurance company can be, and that is saying something. I pray for a class action suit against these criminals.
