Easy Recycling BUT Unlimited Membership Doesn't Include All Fees
We’ve been using Trashie for a few months now, and overall we’ve had a good experience. We signed up for the unlimited subscription and have sent in about three bags so far. The service has been especially helpful for textiles that can’t easily be donated, like mismatched socks, old towels, and worn-out fabric items. It’s nice knowing those items are being recycled instead of thrown away. A couple things to keep in mind: * It takes at least three weeks to receive the bags, so it’s best to order them well in advance, even if you’re not ready to use them yet. * We also ran into an issue with the shipping label. The first time we dropped off bags at UPS, the label was scanned and accepted for free. The second time, at a different UPS location, we were charged a $4 “printing fee” for the label. That extra fee was disappointing, especially since we’re already paying for the unlimited subscription. In our opinion, label printing costs should be included in the subscription price.

Hi Ana, thank you so much for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback! We’re really glad to hear Trashie has been helpful for recycling those harder-to-donate textiles and keeping them out of the landfill. We also appreciate you calling out the UPS printing fee experience. Just to clarify, Trashie provides the prepaid return shipping label at no additional cost, but some UPS locations may choose to charge a small fee if they print the label for you in-store. To avoid that, we recommend selecting the QR code option (when available) or printing the label at home before drop-off. Thanks again for sharing your experience and for being part of the Trashie community!
